Humans tend to value independence over connectedness.
This leads to difficulties in forming and maintaining relationships with other people.
Humans tend to have a greater fear of intimacy and closeness, often to the point of becoming guarded and antisocial. Our own internal struggle often manifests in unhealthy ways, as we learned to strike an inner balance by becoming over-vigilant, or by becoming under-vigilant, or by being generally inappropriate.
Our minds are a powerful tool, however our minds have compartmentalized many aspects of our lives. Trauma can be thought of as an interruption or derailing of the normal developmental processes that would occur in a person's life. These disruptions can occur in the physical, emotional, or spiritual realms. The good news is that we can overcome these issues and learn to be more fully present in our life and relationships. As a result, we experience a greater sense of balance and fulfillment.
One way to heal trauma is through hypnosis. It is a safe and effective way to work through deeply rooted issues without resorting to drugs or other invasive methods. Other methods might involve things such as meditation, or journaling, or even acting out childhood memories.
The overall goal of hypnosis is to use one's imagination to create a safe, contained, and accepting environment for the patient to explore and work through their problems.
So I ask myself, what am i doing in my life to create a safe, contained, and accepting environment in which i feel inspired to explore and work through my problems?
