My Battle with Cancer #4: PET-CT
Note: For this video, I wanted to try out a GIF thumbnail since I’ve seen other users doing it.
I recorded this video on 05-25-2026. It took me a while to get it out because I've had a hard time working on it; severe pain has returned. Anyway, here I’m going to show you a test result where things didn’t actually go badly, but I’m still not completely cancer-free. Why? It all comes down to metastasis and a lack of treatment (AFATINIB). In my recent conversations with my oncologist, she mentioned that it would practically be for life because my cancer is due to a congenital mutation. Who in Venezuela can spend $2,100 (USD) a month on medication just to survive? I'll leave that as an open question for the comments.
Now, let's look at the information I talk about in the video:
In the article I wrote about cycle 10, I mentioned this scan, which is important to see how the cancer is progressing HERE.
The oncology report instructed me to get a bone scan (scintigraphy) or a bone PET-CT.
I managed to get it done on 09-18-2025 at the Centro de Diagnóstico Docente (CDD), located in Las Mercedes, Caracas, Venezuela. (It’s one of the few places where they perform this scan; a while ago, it was the only one available in Venezuela, though nowadays there are more options).
I show the different images generated by this study. (When they do it, you lie down on a machine that scans you, very similar to a CT scan, and they inject radioactive material, just like in a bone scintigraphy).
I discuss what is mentioned in the report generated by the CDD, where some spots related to my current pain are visible. But overall, it turned out well, with no signs of the tumor or new nodules.
I mention a little something extra—even though it has nothing to do with the scan, it was something I did that same day: I took my mom out to eat at the CCCT (Centro Comercial Ciudad Tamanaco). It was a nice moment to break away from the medical routine.
I hope to start recovering soon and bring you content more frequently. There are so many things I've wanted to share. I just have to go at my own pace due to the current pain.

Mi lucha Contra el Cáncer: PET-CT

Este video lo grabe el 25-05-2026, Me he tardado un poco porque he tenido dificultades para trabajar en ello, me han vuelto dolores fuertes, y bueno acá voy a mostrar un examen donde realmente no salí mal, pero aún no he salido por completo del cáncer. ¿Por qué?, todo se resumen a la metástasis y falta del tratamiento (AFATINIB), en ultimas conversaciones con mi oncóloga me ha comentado que prácticamente sería de por vida, porque mi cáncer es debido a una mutación congénita, ¿En Venezuela quien puede gastar 2100$ (dólares) en un medicamento mensualmente para sobrevivir?, Esa pregunta queda abierta para los que gusten comentar.
Ahora veamos referente a la información que comento en el video:
En el artículo que hice sobre el ciclo 10 comenté acerca de este examen, que es importante para ver como va el cáncer AQUÍ.
El informe oncológico me indicaba Realizar Gamma grama o PET-CT Óseo.
Logré realizarlo el 18-09-2025, en el Centro de Diagnóstico Docente, ubicado en Las Mercedes, Caracas, Venezuela (es uno de los pocos lugares donde hacen este examen, hace un tiempo era el único disponible en Venezuela, en la actualidad hay más opciones)
Muestro las distintas imágenes que se generan en este estudio, (Cuando lo realizan uno se acuesta en máquina, que te va escaneando, muy similar al de una Tomografía, e inyectan material radioactivo como en el Gamma Grama óseo).
Comento lo que menciona el informe generado por el CDD (Centro de Diagnóstico Docente), donde en se ven unos puntos relacionados con mi dolor actual. Pero en general salí bien sin rastro del tumor o nódulos nuevos.
Menciono algo extra, aunque no tiene que ver con este examen, fue algo que hice ese mismo día, invité a mi mamá a comer en el CCCT (Centro Comercial Ciudad Tamanaco). Un momento agradable para salir de la rutina médica.
Pronto espero ir recuperándome, y traer contenido más seguido. Hay muchas cosas que he querido contar. Tengo que ir a mi ritmo por los dolores actuales.

Hola espero estés muy bien. Si tiene que ver con la enfermedad. La metástasis. Y el dolor viene por la falta del tratamiento. Voy probando cosas naturales.
