¿Qué significa esto?
La iglesia está buscando niñas de entre 13 y 18 años aproximadamente que ya son mamás o van a serlo pronto, para enseñarles diferentes oficios como repostería, costura, peluquería, entre otros y de esta manera ellas puedan generar ingresos y tener algo de independencia económica para afrontar esos grandes gastos que vienen con la maternidad.
Este proyecto apenas comenzó en Noviembre del 2021 y es patrocinado por la embajada de Francia. Comenzamos unas 7 chicas, que a pesar de que no todas entramos en esa categoría inicial a la que está destinado el proyecto, nos hicieron participe para darle impulso mientras todo se está organizando para despegar.
La meta es poder crear varios grupos de chicas y llegar a preparar a más de 200 madres jóvenes para la vida, y darles las herramientas que muchas veces por la edad o por falta de dinero, les son negadas en otros sitios.
Este proyecto además de dictar los cursos, tiene algo maravilloso, que incluso a mí, que ya estoy un poco más resuelta y cuanto con el apoyo de quienes me rodean, me ha sido de gran utilidad, y es que cuentan con una psicopedagoga que cuida y atiende a los niños mientras nosotras estamos viendo las clases. La tranquilidad de saber que tu hijo está cerca, que puedes ir a verlo en cualquier momento, que si llora, no estas molestando a las demás participantes porque todas tienen hijos y entienden, no tiene precio.
Siempre quise ser parte de este tipo de iniciativas y cuando fui invitada me emocionó mucho; de momento solo seré espectadora y alumna, pero es muy probable que más adelante tenga la oportunidad de realizar cursos también a las chicas, lo cual me haría muy feliz.
El poder impartir mis conocimientos a otras mujeres, que les guste lo que hago como a mí y puedan sacarle provecho va a ser un gran paso tanto para mi emprendimiento como para mi realización personal.
Lo más increíble y triste de toda esta situación, es que solo tres meses después, dejaron de ir, una a una, y la única alumna actualmente soy yo. Y no saben que doloroso es ver como hay personas, mujeres, MADRES, que no aprovechan oportunidades tan únicas como estas. ¿Lo peor? Que todas viven en la zona o son conocidas de la comunidad y se sabe que no están trabajando o algo parecido, simplemente, no van más.
Ojalá cada día hayan más iniciativas como estas donde las personas, principalmente de bajos recursos puedan tener más oportunidades para prepararse y educarse, pero más importante aún, que quieran aprovecharlas. Estos son pequeños pasos que pueden hacerse para combatir desde adentro la pobreza, aunque sea un trabajo de hormiga, cada granito de arena que podamos poner cuenta.
Posdata: No aplaudo el embarazo precoz, yo fui madre a los 19 años y siempre he pensado en la urgencia que existe en la sociedad de más campañas para evitar estas situaciones. Pero esto ya es tema para otro post jeje.

A few months ago they started a project in the church of my community aimed at preparing Young Mothers to face their new role.
What does this mean?
The church is looking for girls between the ages of 13 and 18 who are already mothers or soon to be, to teach them different trades such as confectionery, sewing, hairdressing, among others, and in this way they can generate income and have some economic independence for themselves. afford those big expenses that come with motherhood.
This project just started in November 2021 and is sponsored by the French embassy. We started about 7 girls, who despite the fact that not all of us fall into that initial category to which the project is destined, they made us participate to give it impetus while everything is being organized to take off.
The goal is to be able to create several groups of girls and prepare more than 200 young mothers for life, and give them the tools that many times due to age or lack of money, are denied them in other places.
This project, in addition to teaching the courses, has something wonderful, that even for me, who is already a little more resolved and how much with the support of those around me, it has been very useful to me, and that is that they have a psychopedagogue who cares and attends to the children while we are watching the classes. The peace of mind of knowing that your child is close, that you can go see him at any time, that if he cries, you are not bothering the other participants because they all have children and understand, is priceless.
I always wanted to be part of this type of initiative and when I was invited I was very moved; At the moment I will only be a spectator and a student, but it is very likely that later on I will have the opportunity to take courses for the girls as well, which would make me very happy.
Being able to impart my knowledge to other women, who like what I do as I do and can take advantage of it, will be a great step both for my entrepreneurship and for my personal fulfillment.
The most incredible and sad thing about this whole situation is that only three months later, they stopped going, one by one, and the only student currently is me. And they don't know how painful it is to see how there are people, women, MOTHERS, who don't take advantage of such unique opportunities like these. Worst? That they all live in the area or are known to the community and it is known that they are not working or something similar, they simply do not go there anymore.
Hopefully every day there are more initiatives like these where people, mainly low-income people, can have more opportunities to prepare and educate themselves, but more importantly, who want to take advantage of them. These are small steps that can be taken to combat poverty from within, even if it is a slog, every grain of sand that we can put counts.
Postscript: I do not applaud early pregnancy, I was a mother at 19 years old and I have always thought about the urgency that exists in society for more campaigns to avoid these situations. But this is a topic for another post hehe.
