Hace unos 15 años me alejé de mi tierra, de mi gente, de mi familia, para comenzar una vida mejor y enfrentar nuevos retos, metas, entre otros. Me mudé a otro estado, por lo que tengo un trabajo en el que viajo a muchos lugares. Conociendo diferentes culturas, costumbres y gastronomía.
Viajo muy pocas veces a mi ciudad natal Cumaná, estado Sucre. Como los costos de los pasajes son muy altos y se me hace difícil regresar, sólo lo hago en vacaciones. Mi familia es fuerte y ya se ha acostumbrado a mi ritmo de vida. Ellos significan mucho para mí.
Greetings friends of #catarsis, I wish you a happy day full of health and wellness, today I want to tell you what family is for me.
About 15 years ago I moved away from my land, my people, my family, to start a better life and face new challenges, goals, among others. I moved to another state, so I have a job where I travel to many places. Getting to know different cultures, customs and gastronomy.
I travel very few times to my hometown Cumaná, Sucre State. Because the ticket costs are very high and it is difficult for me to return, I only do it on vacation. My family is strong and has already got used to my rhythm of life. They mean a lot to me.
Hace unos meses me encontraba en la ciudad de Caracas, Venezuela y viviendo esta pandemia de covid-19 todo era muy limitado, incluso el transporte. Decidí caminar hasta una gasolinera para pedirle a alguien que me dejara cerca de Maracay. Fue entonces cuando un camionero tuvo la intención de hacerlo. Subí al vehículo en la zona trasera, había 3 niños y su padre. Su nombre era Eduardo. Empezamos a hablar en el camino y a conocernos un poco, unos 15 minutos después el camión perdió el control y se estrelló contra la defensa. Salí volando y caí en el pavimento a una velocidad muy alta, no sentía mucho las piernas pero corrí como pude hasta el canal lento y luego me quedé allí.
A few months ago I was in the city of Caracas, Venezuela and living this covid-19 pandemic everything was very limited, even transportation. I decided to walk to a gas station to ask someone to drop me off near Maracay. It was then that a truck driver had the intention to do so. I got into the vehicle in the back area, there were 3 children and their father. His name was Eduardo. We started talking on the way and got to know each other a little, about 15 minutes later the truck lost control and crashed into the fender. I went flying and landed on the pavement at a very high speed, I couldn't feel my legs very much but I ran as far as I could to the slow channel and then stayed there.
Cuando reaccioné me di cuenta de que los niños estaban heridos y Eduardo, su padre, fue atropellado por el camión, dejándolo sin signos vitales en el lugar. Inmediatamente tomé mi celular, llamé a mi familia y a mi jefe en el trabajo.
Mi jefe en el trabajo me dijo que no tenía gasolina para mandar a buscarme y llevarme al médico. Mi familia se desesperó, algunos lloraban, otros buscaban una solución a mi problema. Finalmente localizaron a mi mejor amiga María Eugenia en Caracas y a mi ex novia Meytal Karine de Charallave.
Confieso que les debo mucho a ambas, llegaron al hospital muy rápido. Luego me llevaron a casa de María Eugenia para cuidarme y ayudarme con el tratamiento, mis piernas estaban muy lastimadas, aún tengo problemas de ligamentos, pero con su ayuda pude caminar poco a poco después de unos días. Luego se incorporó Mayra a mis cuidados, seguida de Solangel. Pasaron dos semanas y decidí volver a casa ya que llevaba un año sin ver a mi familia, especialmente a mi madre.
When I reacted I realized that the children were injured and Eduardo, their father, was hit by the truck, leaving him without vital signs at the scene. I immediately grabbed my cell phone, called my family and my boss at work.
My boss at work told me that he had no gas to send for me and take me to the doctor. My family became desperate, some were crying, others were looking for a solution to my problem. Finally they located my best friend Maria Eugenia in Caracas and my ex-girlfriend Metyal Karine from Charallave.
I confess that I owe a lot to both of them, they arrived at the hospital very quickly. Then they took me to Maria Eugenia's house to take care of me and help me with the treatment, my legs were very hurt, I still have ligament problems, but with their help I was able to walk little by little after a few days. Then Mayra joined my care, followed by Solangel. Two weeks passed and I decided to return home since I had not seen my family for a year, especially my mother.
Y este fue el momento en que llegué a la casa de mi madre, era la mitad de la noche y ella nunca pensó que llegaría ese día. Fue una gran sorpresa para ella. No pude soportarlo y lloré como un niño. Mi madre lo es todo para mí. Esa misma noche me dijo que soñaba conmigo.
And this was the moment when I arrived at my mom's house, it was the middle of the night and she never thought I would arrive that day. I was such a surprise for her. I couldn't stand it and cried like a child. My mom is everything to me. She told me that same night that she was dreaming about me.

Unos días más tarde decidí visitar a mi padre, que vive en una montaña y mi hermano me llevó allí. Lo pasé muy bien en compañía de mi familia, sentí que me había perdido muchos momentos bonitos con todos.
A few days later I decided to visit my dad, he lives in a mountain and my brother took me there. I had a great time in the company of my family, I felt that I had missed many beautiful moments with everyone.
Visité a mi amigo Carlos y pude estar en su cumpleaños, fue genial porque estaban su mamá y su hermana que tanto quiero.
I visited my friend Carlos and was able to be there for his birthday, it was great because his mom and his sister that I love so much were there.
Luego, meses después, mi jefe me llamó para preguntarme cómo me iba, le dije que me iba mejor y fue entonces cuando me dijo que tenía que trabajar. A él sólo le importa el trabajo. Me sentí completamente decepcionado. Me despedí de mi familia y les dije que volvería, es mi gran sueño, estar con todos ellos y recuperar todo el tiempo que perdí estando lejos de casa.
Actualmente estoy en Maracay y solo mi amigo Fernando y mi novia Solangel son los que entienden mi vida. La familia está en las buenas y en las malas, a los demás solo les importa lo que puedas generar para ellos. Nunca te alejes de tu familia amigo lector, tu familia siempre estará ahí para apoyarte. La familia es lo primero y lo más importante.
Then, months later, my boss called me to ask me how I was doing, I told him I was doing better and that's when he told me I had to work. He only cares about work. I was completely disappointed. I said goodbye to my family and told them I would come back, it is my big dream, to be with all of them and make up for all the time I lost being away from home.
I am currently in Maracay and only my friend Fernando and my girlfriend Solangel are the ones who understand my life. Family is in good times and bad, the others only care about what you can generate for them. Never move away from your family my friend reader, your family will always be there to support you. Family is first and foremost.
