I still use that phrase, albeit in Igbo language. I use it very often, even yesterday. In Igbo, it is, "nwa afor." When anyone asks if I'm truly from the Igbo tribe, that's what I say. It just sounds really sweet to me. It's not like I heard it very many times while I was growing up. I just sort of picked it up at one time, which I can not recall when.
