It seems you and I think very much alike on this subject.
I also found out about Youtube learning (not exactly the same as your case, but similar) when I went to university and my learning stepped up. I was shocked at the newly discovered resource at my disposal and I relied on it through out University. I honestly can confidently say I learnt 60% of my courses in university from Youtube.
The knowledge online is just too much for us not to benefit from it. I am not saying that what's been taught in class isn't okay but our lectures have limited knowledge unlike checking online where you have lots of resources and information at your disposal, the difference is clear.
