A RESOLUTION OF LOVE

Gifting loved ones is no doubt one of the best ways of showing how much you love them. That notwithstanding, this part of the world do not see much need for that. I can count how many times I have received gift from loved ones, I have in fact never received any. Although I have received help in times of need from friends and family, no one has ever gifted me on my birthday, anniversary, or simply to put a smile on my face, except for one person. That one person was Agatha, an old friend and a customer as at the that time. That one person was Agatha, an old friend who was also a customer at that time. She asked to come around her shop after work and she gifted me a leather footwear. I was as happy as I have never been, and that was the last time I ever received a surprise gift of anykind.

I myself is not much of a gifter, but I think I have gifted more than I have received. As part of my resolution for this year, I plan on improving on myself towards gifting others. I have narrowed down a list of people who must receive gifts this year, 2025, and for the purpose of this post, I will be listing them along with my reasons for selecting them. Let's get on with it then.

MY SIBLINGS

I have in the past gifted some of siblings on their birthday, but I certainly have to do more even though I am yet to receive from any of them. For this year, I have taken it upon myself to ensure that I gift every of my siblings on their birthdays. It certainly would not be an easy task but I must do my best to accomplish it.

THE LOVE OF MY LIFE

Due to my quest for a better life, I have been distanced from my love for about one whole year now. As it should, the distance caused us not to spend as much time as we should together. On her birthday I was not just unable to be with her but also unable to gift her anything. Coupled with fact that I was too busy with work, cost of organising a suprise for her from distance was not just what I could handle. I eventually had to send her some money, sometimes I naturally would not have done. This year will certainly be different...

MY PARENTS

Although I have sent them money, I have never given my parents birthday gifts before, and that is certainly something I regret. As part of my resolution for this year, I will ensure that I gift the both of them on their birthdays. It doesn't necessarily have to be the best gift, but something thoughtful and given with love.

CONCLUSION

Showing loved ones that love them is one of the most amazing thing you can ever do. This year, I simply one to tell those around me that I really love them. It is certainly not about the gift but about love. I simply pray I actualize my purpose...
