Today I had the privilege of addressing the students in my PPA ( my primary place of assignment) as a corper and it was such an incredible time and valuable tips I shared with them, I had looked foreward to this moment for a long time where I can interface with the students and speak some extra curricular matters with them like the matters of their future, choices, decisions, career path and counseling plus other general information.
my drive is for them to get it right from now, by making the right choices and decisions now that its early, I see that most of them are still clueless about tomorrow and cause of that are likely to wander off, with no clear picture in mind with no one to set the records straight for them laying down a path for them to walk on....

so I pleaded with the school management to allow corpers talk to the student during their assembly today as part of their moral instruction moment, and personally I want to create this as a system and as part of my nysc program to always enlightened young minds about the future about what they are likely to come up against, seeing that life is not fare except to those that are persistent enough to fight it.
it's a public school one of the biggest in the east and south eastern part of Nigeria, it houses both Borders and day student , it's an all girls school, with very large space for learning and accommodation plus staff quarters as well, from the old structure here this school was established during the early 80's by the missionaries that first landed in the east and it's highly esteemed till today.

I spoke about choices and decisions which are the two most important basic elements in life, how every choices we make every decision we take has a very heavy consequences on tomorrow's outcome, they go very far to determine the course of our lives, and this is the big issue but a lot of persons have thrown all caution to the wind and choose to live life however they please and then later on in their lives they now come to regret and blame every other persons for their misfortune except themselves.
I wish I had more time to speak more with them in heavy matters of the heart but the time allocated was short and I had no choice than to stop half way

so many persons we see today going through one challenge or the other at one point in their lives had an opportunity that would have changed their lives for the better but choose to do other wise and as a popular Man Of God would say if you live your life to chance you don't have any chance left, if you don't have Chances left you bite your finger at old age.
so there for its better we utilize this moment to let them know what they are likely to encounter in their life's journey also my aim is to build this strong spirit of resilience, persistence, determination and how to stay focused and true to a course till their heart desires and wishes come true to life.

I hope to keep this up to have many sessions like this again and again, till every single one of them get the message, if it's the least I can do I'm satisfied that I've impacted lives during my service year.
