Embracing Self-Reincarnation: Becoming the Ideal Me

in Hive Naija14 days ago

Growing up as a child, I was taught a strange belief that people do incarnate, that is, transition from one life to another. In some African homes, a child can be more respected than the other because in one way or the other the child seems to look like one of their ancestors; so, they believe the child who is the ancestor has been reborn. However, looking into this belief, if I was opportune to choose whom I would incarnate to, who would it be?

In the transitioning from one life to another, the individual may probably carry forward similar lessons and experiences of his past which is what I wouldn’t want to experience. There are some contemplations behind one’s life that I may not have the capacity to bear. Therefore, I should pass through the experiences that are designed for me. Furthermore, we love the glamour and sweet stories of great people and we get tempted to walk in their footsteps not taking note of the struggles they faced, and the burdens they carried.
I believe everyone has a unique purpose even though we may have people who have been on that path before, but as long as I have not come across such a path, it is new to me.

So, I prefer having a lesson that is peculiar to my growth; I believe my creator had reasons why He made me so. Let me embrace the weight of my journey and the sacrifice it demands instead of idolizing another figure from afar because of his success, achievements, or level of growth.

Also, I believe I am extraordinary and a model that others would wish to be like. Incarnating to someone else makes me enjoy one side of the individual’s success story which I envied; meanwhile, the dark side may be something I wouldn’t want to experience. For instance, there are some prominent people I love their successes but they are living in broken homes, with incurable ailments, etc. so it is best for me to be ME.

Moreover, choosing to be myself in the next life proves how I honor the authenticity of my existence; from time to time, I embrace the opportunity for self-improvement and growth instead of seeking to emulate the lives of others. What I mean in a nutshell is that my choice shows how much I love myself over any other thing or personality.

In conclusion, self-reincarnation makes me embrace who I am, irrespective of the imperfections and possibilities. The concept of reincarnation raises interesting concerns regarding the choices we may make if given the option to move into another lifetime. While some may imagine the idea of embracing the qualities and accomplishments of high-esteem persons in society, not taking into consideration their dark side. In my opinion, when you are following your path, you acknowledge the authenticity of your being instead of being someone else. It is an offer to embrace the problems and possibilities in our own lives, acknowledging our value and capacity for improvement.

Therefore, if I am given the opportunity to reincarnate, who would I love to be like? The answer is simple: I would choose to be me. I do not want to follow in the footsteps of another, I want to create a new path others would follow.

Fair points bro, I truly would want to write my own story not follow some old folks pattern or stories of how I look like them.
Let me chose my own life.
