I have the privilege to participate in today’s prompt , and will use this opportunity to give my opinion on the neglects the # rural areas of my country has faced and still facing.
This very prompt of today calls for an extensive insight into the need for the government and those in power in all areas of our country to take a look 👀 at the rural areas of every state that made up the nation we called Nigeria 🇳🇬. Its not just the rural area of the state where I cone from, but in general, of how the rural areas has kept deteriorating due to abandonment and negligence.
I have all my life and years lived in the city where every other social amenities are made available even though most are not 💯, but then I can say the city gets most of the advantages of development and improvements the government tends to render which in most cases is what the city is meant to enjoy not withstanding, but as the years go by and changes continue to take place, awareness being made visible, we expect the government to have make many extensive improvements in extending developments , improving and establishing amenities in # Rural Areas.
Although many of us dwells in the city or in a near by urban close to the city, but we do travel to most rural areas for one purpose or reason and have seen how different the city 🌆 is to the rural area that sometimes we question ourselves on what are the government of the country doing. The # Rural Areas indeed looks like if they are not part of this country and this has subjected the citizens to so much suffering
Bad Roads: This factor has continued to pose lots of problems and difficulties to even the rural dwellers who manages to buy third or fourth hand vehicles 🚗 assist themselves in transportation business which is very important in rural movements.
Electricity: Even before the recent price increase on fuel ⛽️, the rural areas has been suffering from lack of electricity which is one of the most basic needs, as most rural dwellers can not afford generators and gas ⛽️ to power their retail businesses. And few who can make and hike commodities prices which makes cost of living very high.
Education: The 21st century has created so much awareness, especially of how the Computer 💻 and the Internet is making things look 👀 more simple. But this awareness is mostly being enjoyed by those who are in the city and around. Those youths in the rural areas still lack so much knowledge of how the Computer 💻 and the Internet works, This area of improvement is very necessary as the youths are our future generation leaders.
I could go on and on with so many other improvements that needs attention of the government, but the few I have mentioned is very vital because most rural areas seems as if they are forgotten and not a part of this country.
