RE: [Movie] Kill Bill: Vol. 2 (2004)

First off, thanks for the vote. Believe me, most people have the annoying habit of leaving a comment without actually voting, so it’s doubly appreciated when someone takes the time to do both.

Now, about that "third volume": as far as I know, there are only two. There is a short film about Yuki Yubari, Gogo’s twin sister, but it clocks in at barely ten minutes, premiered on Fortnite, and will, of course, be getting its own review right here.

As for the Superman monologue, your take is spot on. The hero hiding behind the everyday guy to try and reason with Beatrix is pure Tarantino—the master of using pop culture as a narrative vehicle.

Remember the breakdown of Madonna’s "Like a Virgin" in Reservoir Dogs? Or Sonny Chiba’s speech in True Romance—the same actor Tarantino brings back in Kill Bill: Vol. 1 as the legendary swordsmith? Or the Janis Joplin reference in Natural Born Killers, complete with that nod to the 27 Club I just covered in my latest review? It all connects. It’s his signature move.

Anyway, I won't keep you any longer. Sorry for the long-winded reply, and thanks again for the comment and for following along.
