I honestly don't understand all the good reviews (some of them, with tons of praise) for this movie. Really.
Anyway... I feel like the "black sheep" here, haha!

I'm gonna watch it and see if the reviews are justified. The other Resident Evil movies were mediocre and were disappointments to fans of the games.
The only movies I really like are the first and the second.
The first, because it has the perfect atmosphere (the laboratory was very well used as the main setting). The second, because it has really good action scenes (and more iconic characters).
I look forward to reading your review after watching the movie, @logen9f.
I liked the first movie because there were callbacks to the game. The sequels went downhill from there though. I liked the animated movies better which had the game characters.
When we talk specifically about the animated versions, I also think them are far superior to the live-action movies.
