Also, the liberals were constantly calling the conservatives names, and vice versa. It was like kindergarten all over again.
This was a strong motivator for me to distance myself from it as well. I hated seeing people that I knew were friends back in high school and college turn on one another and say the most awful things to them. Nobody was "winning" in these situations, they just stressed themselves out. These days I would imagine that all of these people have blocked people they have known for 20 years over a disagreement over a political issue. It's pathetic.
