People are expecting that lithium will be very important for our future, and are working hard to acquire more sources.
Including, if you want to believe, steering a hurricane to a very specific spot in South Carolina, and then announcing that no one can go back to that town. The only thing that is not speculation is that there are people looking to open up a lithium mining operation there.
These people believe, or are orchestrating, that the world is moving to battery powered electric (vehicles, tools, houses…) And, those things need Lithium batteries. And those people are treating Lithium mining sites like people treat oil wells today.
If you were able to see behind the scenes, you would swear that the Mafia, or the Cocain Import Agency was looking to control lithium and lithium mining. People that do not take no for an answer and care nothing for human life, as long as they control what is important (what they think is important).
But how important is lithium if we had Zero Point Energy? How soon will the ZPE devices be available to humanity? This is the race.
Those trying to control the market, and thus people, with controlling who can and cannot charge their lithium batteries.
vs
A technology that makes battery storage obsolete, unnecessary.

The push for battery powered
There is a group of people salivating at the idea of a world where everything runs on electricity, and they are in charge of who, what, where the electricity goes.
Imagine having the power to turn off someone's car who cut you off in traffic.
The psychopaths in charge want to do more. Like, have your car drive you to the police station when you were found to be doing wrongthink. Have your car not charge if you forget to pay the govern-cement their blood money.
And these people see all their dreams being handed to them on a silver platter. Battery powered electric cars. And if they make everything else battery powered, they can get rid of fuel. (they can't simply turn off your gas when it comes from a big tank in the back yard. As you can see, they are trying to ban gas stoves.)

Technology isn't staying still
T.H.E.Y. have kept innovations from reaching the market by buying it all up and storing it on a shelf.
The vaunted Tesla automobile? It was built out of a book published in the 70s. Everything else that Musk has done was in Popular Mechanics or Popular Science during that same time.
In the in between time, there was water powered cars… and their inventors died mysterious deaths. All kinds of perpetual motion devices, which all were "proved" that they didn't work, by "knowledgeable people". (even though there is one, still running, in a vault, for years now) Yes, we can't have the Laws of Thermodynamics defeated, can we? All of those over-unity devices be damned.
However, their hold over the technology is falling apart. People are talking about things the ivory towers said were verboten. People are just releasing things open-source. Not trying to keep it to themselves and make tons of money on "their" inventions.

What happens when we have ZPE devices?
Well, the first thing we will probably see is cars that do not need fuel.
Tesla (Nikola) built one of those, but we never got to see how it worked because of those greedy people who wanted control over people.
We will see electric vehicles that do not need charging, and just continue to run.
Of course, we may see refrigerators that do not need to be plugged in. But, cars are definitely way cooler.
It really will not be long before we see people converting everything to ZPE powered.
And, after that, we will see so much of the control grid just break down.
Those people trying to buy up/control all the lithium mines are going to find themselves S.O.L.

You can really only keep the lid on innovation for so long. The muses talk to everyone. Everyone who is able to listen can tap into the latest technology being given to earth.
The Wright Brothers only beat a French man building almost the exact same thing by a few weeks.
And if you look, you can find a lot of similar happenings, were people created the same thing, in different garages, almost at the same time.
So much technology is coming. Self powered electric vehicles will only be around for a short time before they are replaces with flying cars, and then flying saucers.
The psychopaths who want to keep everything under their control will fail so hard, because inventions will be coming out of everywhere. And the new kids are getting tired of the secrets and the "patent system", and prefer to just share it with all their peers.
It is really going to be a new world.

Holy shit, force drive you straight to the police. You know I barely considered the kind of control we would be giving to government agencies and tech billionaires when we go Fully electric. Now I'm seeing a whole different danger side of this
Well, you already see what they do with "your" cell phone.
Why do we call it "your" cell phone anyway?
You are just the user who they (the cell phone maker, provider, NSA,…) allow to use "your" phone when it does not conflict with their interests.
Does anyone really want self driving cars?
Most people respond "It would be nice to sleep on the way to work", the next group of people say "hell no"
Why don't we just give up on driving to work?
hahaha actually I think it's going to o be a safety thing. Eventually the government will force it on people in the name of safer driving and electric cars, they'll just point out the good part and use that as enough reason to force it on everyone.
This whole new world you have envisaged is a beautiful one..can’t wait to see it happen. Hope it happens in my time
Fortunately, it is happening right now.
Unfortunately all the structure we use to live day to day is also going to collapse. The banking system gone (your CC will stop working) Most govern-cement services, gone.
Shooting in the streets. Food disruptions…
But, we will probably see flying cars in our lifetime, along with this.
While I am not a full "prepper" at this point I am rather self-sufficient and prepared if the shit truly goes down.
Electric vehicles never made sense for the industry that I am involved in and unfortunately one of the main reasons why I never considered an EV for my own personal use is because of how quickly the entire concept became political. It started to seem like a cult rather than a cost-effective option or even one that was going to do any good for the environment. The rather extreme URGENCY in how the people I perceive to be a bit nuts portrayed the transition to EV and the protesters annoying tactics actually encouraged me to go the other way just out of spite. Plus they don't make huge pickup truck EV's so that was a game over for me.
Have you seen what Edison Motors has been doing?
They are building diesel hybrids.
They are making pickup truck retrofit kits, but you will probably like this one best:
