Li-Ion batteries burn so hot, that it disintegrates concrete, (turns it back into powder) as well as causing the water in the concrete to turn to steam and burst the concrete apart. So, a Li-Ion fire is dangerous to concrete structures.

Li-Ion batteries break down over time. And when it starts to break down, it creates more energy, which causes it to break down faster, which creates more energy.
