I mean, in pots. In very hot climates, having the plant in the ground gives it more access to water, and less surface area to heat and dry out (the pot captures heat too)

But, on the other hand, you can grow, in pots, really early in the year, and late in the year. And if a frost is coming, you can pull them inside for the night.
