RE: Why are so many "life coaches" unsuccessful people?

This is a really hard question/topic.

But first, why do people rob banks? They don't have that much money on site, and you just changed everything from local cops to the secret service and mandatory federal trial. Just the shtupidist direction to go in. And your friend's druggy really messed up in his backyard.

When a person, who is struggling, finally figures things out, they think that they are a god, or something. To finally dig themselves out of a hole. And so, with a whole lot of learning under their belt, they also find themselves as amateur therapists.

That said, all the people i respect on therapy, are life coaches because you can't do the real stuff with a license. So much of the stuff that really works is forbidden by the APA. Yes, the stuff that works is verboten.

Soooo, there are very few real teachers. And usually, they teach by doing, and the student just has to be watch, and then do themselves. It is very effective, for the right students.

But, as you say, most people who would make good teachers are doing. And so, don't really have time for students. Especially half assed students.

by the way dude, you are one of the few people on here that always can be counted on to have real and concise responses. I always look forward to your input. Kudos to you.

nice point about the bank robbery theory. I recall a movie or two where the thief goes to the till only to discover that there is only a couple of hundred dollars in there. This has probably become moreso in recent years now that almost nobody buys things with cash anymore.

I shouldn't crap on someone trying to better themselves. Danielle has had a bad life and I wish her the best. It just seems to me that she is the wrong candidate to be offering advice to anyone, other than to tell them about the wrong things to do...because she has been there for sure.
