Not too long along was the educational board in Nigeria went for a strike that lasted for months as a result of the board not coming at a consensus on the way forward to there developmental and salary funds. Due to the duration of the strike some Nigerian students had a second taught about there life and more so there way forward outside the educational system in Nigeria.
The following effects are yielded in Nigerian students ;
a)Diminution in IQ(Intelligent Quotient);

Evident enough that the intelligent quotients of students will reduce as a result of not being engaged in academic activities which tends to increase intelligent quotient. Due to the fact that the there are no more interactions triggered towards academics, no interest will be shown on books,no enthusiasm to source out information base on academic dealings, no academics gatherings(such as debates,competitions and academic outing) as it poses strength to the educational life of students. Insomuch as the board aren't in any way as of today to call off the strike as to what they are clamouring for its not ascertained, owing to this effect, the academic performance of students will reduce.
b)More stay time in school;
Truth be told that the ages of student's in Nigerian universities and schools at large owes to the effect that there are changes in ages. For instance a student that is meant to finish his or her B.Sc(Bachelor of science) in 4 or 5years time is meant to have a longer stay owing to the effect of the strike. For students that have already planned there life and where to be at a particular stage of life have had a cross of the agenda based on the fact that the educational system isn't working out as planned.
c)Re-think of life and engagement in menial or skilled works;

Students having all based on school have used these moment to have a re-think of there life as it seems the forth coming plans aren't seen again due to the strike.
Some students who haven't engaged in menial works as to gain some cash for themselves will have no option than to make use of the available chance to explore on such as it will make them have some coins on there pocket.
To students who might want to explore also there talents outside school dealings will properly utilize this opportunity as there aren't no time to check time owing to the effect that no knowledge is a waste.
