Jordan Peterson was banned from Twitter

in Informationwar2 years ago

Hello, all. This is my first post in the Informationwar community. I hope you all enjoy it.

Jordan Peterson, the Canadian best-selling author, psychologist, and former college professor is in the headlines again. This time he was banned by Twitter for his comment about the actor Elliot Page (formerly known as Ellen Page).

The Tweet that resulted in the ban was when Peterson said, “Remember when pride was a sin? And Ellen Page just had her breasts removed by a criminal physician.”

Twitter said Peterson had violated their “hateful” conduct policy and he would need to remove the tweet to get access to his account again.
However, in typical Jordan B. Peterson style, he came out with a nearly 15-minute-long video in which he exclaimed he would rather die than take down the tweet.

I’ve essentially been banned from Twitter as a consequence. I say banned, although technically I have been suspended, but the suspension will not be lifted unless I delete the “hateful” tweet in question and I would rather die than do that and hopefully it will not come to that, although who the hell knows in these increasingly strange days.

Jordan Peterson also breaks apart Twitters argument about whether what he said was hate speech. You can watch the video for all the details.
I’ve been a fan of Jordan Peterson since he first went on Joe Rogan, after gaining notoriety over his defiance of Bill C-16.

It’s obvious Jordan Peterson is hated by the Liberal establishment. I’ll call this the Progressive Industrial Complex. This is a term I modified and stole from a Times article that just came out.

Jordan Peterson doesn’t hate trans people. He’s not “trans-phobic” like his detractors frame him as. Anyone who has followed his work knows he has more compassion for the human condition than most. You can’t be a successful clinical psychologist without having compassion. And he was as successful as a clinical psychologist can become before he got famous. I think he feels that most trans people have issues. While they’re simultaneously being celebrated, the vast majority aren’t getting their mental, emotional, and spiritual needs met. I’ve personally witnessed the severe mental and emotional trauma some trans people deal with. The Progressive Industrial Complex has no intention of helping these people.

Not every transgender person is a rich, former Olympic athlete, and Woman of the Year like Caitlyn Jenner.

Time Magazine’s article called The Failure of the Feminist Industrial Complex, highlighted how the Liberal establishments 40+ year focus on “female representation” did nothing to protect Roe v. Wade from being struck down by the U.S. Supreme Court. The Liberal establishment built a house of cards that is going to come crashing down. Roe v. Wade was just the start because the Republican party built an impenetrable fortress based on state and local power, while Democrats were smelling their own farts, and high fiving each other over all the “representation.”

It takes little imagination to realize the transgender movement is going to suffer the same fate.

Perhaps this is what Peterson is upset about? He’s not upset with Elliot Page, he’s upset at what he represents, which is a political machine that cares little about the people they claim to help and are inept at doing anything useful except creating dissent and chaos in a society that can’t afford anymore dissent and chaos.

Sort:

Centralized social networks still have a great exposure for businesses and things like such but they are far far away from the freedom of speech and the actual chance of creating a real information platform.
Thanks for sharing this content!

People are discouraged from expressing pride in their work, pride in their community or, God-forbid, pride in one's country.

They only thing we can have pride in is fetishes.

The left is exercising a type of manipulation called dialectic. It is a game where one argues from negations and paradoxes. Dialectics turns the world into an ugly place.

Thanks for the comment and support. That's an interesting point, and you made me want to research that form of argument.

You made me finally watch his video 😅
Thanks
