Trump has just done this, asking China to send warships to undo what America and Israel have done, closing the Strait of Hormuz. The analysis you have reported in the OP is well considered, but misses the important element that Trump is a traitor, as are his cabinet and most of Congress, amongst many others. The problem is that the cult of Moloch must set all the powerful institutions of the world against each other and get them to destroy each the other before it can conquer the surviving remnant. That is underway, as the US/Israel force loses against Iran, unleashing China because the US has no remaining reserves to deploy in Taiwan. In fact the US is stripping Taiwan of ordnance and personnel in order to spend them in the ME, which will force it into losing a global war, resulting in the destruction of Israel and the entire ME, and sparking political disruption, perhaps revolution, in the USA, further weakening the West and it's ability to constrain China and Russia.
Europe is still strip mining it's economy, but the remnant will have to be spent against Russia, that will spend itself against Europe, and the US and China and Iran will spend themselves. All this will come about by ~2030, and then the cult will make it's move, offering populations goyslop and bugpods in exchange to being utterly enthralled to to SRA enthusiast cannibal cultists. Smart people will prefer death.
Fortunately the psychopathic cult is overwhelmingly narcissistic and does not comprehend it's incapacity to manage durable society, and it will spend itself on internal competition for power. ~2035 it will have so destroyed itself that independent warlords will be able to secure clay, and the rise of decentralized production will generally starve centralized overlords into decline from which they will never again emerge.
No centralized institutional power will emerge the victor, and populations that have managed to survive the bottleneck the clashes of titans will impose will finally have the economic resources and defensive ordnance to secure themselves against armed gangs of thugs and out compete centralized production. That's how I see the ongoing conflict shaking out.
