PIMP

A way to leverage the best Hive has to offer.

Abstract

PIMP is a token built on the H2LT (Hive 2nd layer token) protocol through the Hive-Engine side chain. It operates within the Hive ecosystem in multiple ways including providing a front-end interface for people to blog on or build a portfolio and offering a strong sense of community and support. All the while, the primary focus behind the token, is to give the accounts choosing to stake PIMP, a share of the daily rewards that the organization makes.

Introduction

The definition by the old 'establishment' denotes that 'a pimp' is someone that acts as a manager for prostitutes. I am here to tell you now, the word has changed and gathered new meanings in the evolution of language. It needs to be understood exactly what PIMP means on these webpages that follow. This #whitepaper also resembles more of a green color as it is open to editing and will be expanded upon as it is, grows and evolves.

'PIMP', as I have grown to know the verb, means to promote, adorn, decorate and/or customize lavishly. Ex. - "I'm totally gonna pimp out my office with some sweet ass ocean themed deco." As an adjective, it means excellent, sweet, killer, kickass, badass, mint, hot, poppin', swole, or great. Ex. - "This shiz is so #pimp, make my ice cream melt." As a noun, it is a person that does or is one that promotes things, curates (in more than just the voting sense here on #Hive) content and people and/or brings light to things that may otherwise be unseen - often with a glamorous effect. Ex. "Dude is a pimp man, he for reals knew, picked and popped what the hottest new vid would be yo, bet."

With all of those details in mind, the token and community behind PIMP itself does just that. We have large stakes in many different communities to help curate them. We have acquired a significant amount of various holdings to prop up the value of the token. Furthermore, we are dedicated to sharing – every day – 95% of most of the tokens we hold and stake ourselves.

No, we will not reduce ourselves to being anything less than who we are by abiding by any language mannerisms, cultural standards or social expectations. We are who we are. You are who you are. Just be you.

Beginnings

When PIMP first came into the cryptosphere, I had a few ideas, and knew where I wanted it to go and what I wanted it to do. PIMP wanted to help people rise above, just a little bit more, than where they already were. If this meant for them to sell the token they earned from a post, so be it. Either way, a community formed around and with it, giving people a place to share more than just a common thought or some garbage about Bitcoin to rape LEO rewards.

There were a lot of things to consider in the operation of ‘mining’ PIMP and ultimately, became modelled after a hybrid of Bitcoin and Hive. Bitcoin in the sense of a limited supply with halvings upon necessary timestamps, and Hive with the rewarding fist-bumps that are so prevalent on chain.

It was pretty rocky at first. Not many people were very receptive to the idea that PIMPs even belonged on Hive. But, I decided to make it work. To make it worth something. To make it something greater than just another community token. I looked for quite a while to find the right person to help make that happen. After almost a year, it finally did.

PIMP v2.0

This version of PIMP, really got some attention. This turned PIMP into a revenue sharing token unlike any other on Hive by sharing more tokens that it earned with the stakers of PIMP than any other sharing model in existence. The bigger the percentage you have in the entire pool of staked tokens, the bigger your share of the rewards that go to you.

This wasn’t just community tokens, but any H2LT that we ourselves, were not holding for a specific purpose. On top of community curation tokens, we added gaming and even some finance tokens into the mix, hoping to make PIMP the greatest token out there. And we didn’t stop there.

PIMP v3.0

The most recent advancement with PIMP, will attract even more attention and put it in front of eyes and in the hands of many more people. With the current sharing module dedicated to the top 200 staking accounts, the addition of liquid HIVE that the community pulls in each day, has been added to the pool of tokens we share.

Yes. HIVE. It was always the goal to add this and reflect our love for other tokens that paved the way like BRO and ARCHON. I feel this is a wonderful way to appreciate people for staking our token. As we continue to grow and acquire more assets, I am bound with high expectations that PIMP will achieve new heights through Hive.

PIMP v3.1

Since it is not an actual change to the function of the token, v3.1 has been introduced. There has been some debate about what sets PIMP apart from other tokens. In a recent conversation with @raymondspeaks, I was asked about the goals and future roadmap of PIMP. I have many ideas, really, I do, but, voicing them is the problem I have. I've been burned a few times and even recently, one of my fam had an idea snatched out from underneath her. So, I stay quiet.

I have read this and many other books several times. After having been burned before myself in the cryptorealms, I find it essential to keep some things under wraps. Back in the day, the #silvergoldstackers produced solid silver rounds to commemorate our community love for silver. I bought several, and, had some that didn't make it through the fire. These ten surviving rounds are going to be melted down to create a 10 oz. bar of solid silver.

This silver, will be the first addition to the newly created 'PIMP vault' and sent to our newly nominated, accepted and now appointed 'vaultkeeper' - @silverd510. I know him IRL and he has been a solid member of The Alliance, The PIMP District and the Silver Gold Stakkin' clan. His knowledge of silver and other precious metals is far superior to my own and so am very satisfied with this decision.

Only a very limited elite few tokens on Hive - NOT EVEN HIVE ITSELF - can claim to own physical assets to back their tokens' stability. We now can. With some of the profits every couple of weeks or so, we will be purchasing silver and melting it into ten ounce bars. We will not be buying any special rounds, limited this that or the other, as we are going for the bullion itself and looking for the best prices. We will most assuredly keep you updated with our holdings.

By making this move, if crypto ever crashes into oblivion and manages to be worth absolutely nothing, we will have a bit of a failsafe and your PIMP will still be worth something. If agreed upon, we will sell it and take care of those that have PIMP staked, and based on the size of your stake, we will divvy out monetary compensation(s) as necessary.

Acquisitions

There was never a Hive proposal to make all this happen. This all came from the brain and wallet of @enginewitty. Since its inception and conception, he (I) will continue to improve the holdings for all of the PIMPs to share accordingly. This list has even grown and updated since I first wrote it a month ago. Distribution

That very incomplete list up there, should give you a fairly good view of what the PIMP organization is worth. I’ve been busy. PIMPs stay busy. Right now, these are all the tokens we graciously currently share with the top 200 stakes of PIMP:

And, we have meetings every Wednesday morning, to discuss whether or not we should add anything or take anything away from that list. I honor and respect input from my PIMPs and created a ‘PIMPosal’ system in January to garner inclusive feedback on the moves that PIMP takes and makes from a financial standpoint. Currently, we are set to share with the top 200 stakes of PIMP based on the percentage held in that total pool. As PIMP growth continues, that number will most likely be revisited.

The community itself, has grown quite extensively and we often have other community and project leaders come in and talk with us as well in our discord server. None of the chats are recorded in case there is some words that slip out that might offend someone or a leak is exposed from a new game or something like that.

Pimp Media

https://pimp.media/ is a hive engine second layer front end to earn our pimp tokens. You can sell pimp on the market or stake it and earn a share in our dividends structure as shown above. You can earn pimp by using the #pimp tag on any front end as we are a general (NSFW) tribe. We use this as a hub to earn, connect, and share with other hive players that want to PIMP out their hive earnings.

There are zero miners in existence, and you can only earn PIMP in the fashion of Hive posting, join some LPs with PIMP as rewards or buy it off the market. We do have plans to develop Pimp Media far beyond its current state and is an ongoing strategy to change the front end while creating sinks for the future.

The Mind of a (and behind) PIMP

I know this may not be the ‘whitepaper’ some of you were expecting, but it is what it is. The lightweight adaptability of PIMP is probably its greatest asset. Granted, we are currently bound by the blockchain code of Hive, but, we are not stopping there. Hive is our home, and we will stay here, but the bigger picture of PIMP will outgrow the limitations of Hive.

We have a roadmap for the future as our funds grow. We are looking at obtaining real world assets that have a track record of sustainable growth. Silver is the first of our physical endeavors. We have our sights set on acquiring land and exploring housing markets where we can build out for many years to come.

We are also not limited to Hive when it comes to cryptocurrency. In the future we will be looking at growing our assets off chain on WAX, ETH, or wherever we spot an opportunity. This will be continuous growth, over many years, and we can honestly say that PIMP is a viable addition to anyone’s portfolio looking to earn passively.
