Science is the mother of invention. Also, there are limitless possibilities with technology. For me, it is like waking every day to hear another American wonder performed by scientists.

So, waking up to find out that there is a device that can predict the future will be the norm for scientists. However, I will be thrilled by the opportunities and challenged by the disadvantages it will throw up. Remember, for every positive reaction there is a corresponding negative reaction.
I would want to buy such a device and explore it. After all, we have soothsayers who also do the same thing. A soothsayer intercepted my Mum and me years back and told my Mum exactly the history of our family, and wanted to go further with other revelations before my Mum realised herself and quickly took me away.
He started by greeting us, and when my Mum responded, he drew near and asked her,” is Salomey your name, She responded, and instantly he continued, with the name of her husband, the number of children she has, some of her recent needs, and other mind-blowing revelations. But being a young girl, I felt less concerned until I felt mum's hand grab me, and she started running. I picked race too and ran faster than her, even leaving her behind. Lolz.
However, with my level of exposure, I don’t think I will act naïve if I encounter such people. Such a device will be interesting to have because it will enable individuals to plan and live an organised life. It will also enable people to be in control of their days, navigate through challenges like a professional. Get deep insights and prepare for such opportunities.
For somebody like me, I will use it to explore and take charge of my future, plan, and avoid anything that will cause me pain.
On the other hand, it will pose a lot of danger, like people trying to walk faster than their shadows. There will be serious stress and competition, people trying to outsmart each other and be the superman or superwoman.

Furthermore, since the device can only predict the future but not the consequences, there will be a lot of confusion and wasted efforts. This is because people will meet roadblocks and build castles in the air. It will be like starting an aimless journey, a ship without a rudder.
Again, it can cause anxiety and especially for those who have underlying ailments. Such a device can put them in serious situations and emergencies.
In conclusion, I would be excited to buy and explore the device; however, I will be extremely careful with its usage.

For some, the first time they use the device to get a glimpse of their future, they would be overcome with joy. Others might be depressed so much to the point of suicide, if for example, they find they won't live to 40 and their death will be a very horrible one.
You can talk about avoiding the event that results in your death, but Fate can just bring the death to you even if you are locked away in you room for months.
