I always say that technology is a world of endless possibilities. In fact, with science, you don’t think of any limitations to inventions and creativity.
For me, a world where dreams can be recorded and replayed would be rational and irrational. There might be some simple logic and reasons why I would say it is possible.
First, the reason for the invention of the CCTV which can even be recorded and played in absentia. Whether the owner is around or not. Once the CCTV is installed, it does its job and stores the data in any designated storage place waiting for the command to replay at any day or time. And it actually makes sense. Recently, it has really helped in fighting insecurity in different ramifications.
Recording and replaying dreams would be rational if it would help us to achieve set goals and life purposes. If it will assist us in delving into the future and solving the consequences of the dreams we had. For example, if I had a dream where I am building a powerful castle and controlling resources in billions, then suddenly, I wake up to reality in the little corner of my room without a car to my name. Now tell me, will recording and playing that dream every day bring joy and happiness to me, or sadness, since it is a mere dream? Or should we just record a dream for fantasy?

Secondly, recording and replaying dreams would be irrational if the only thing it brings to us is just mere wishes and desires, and not accomplishments. This is because it is simply a dream and doesn’t hold much water. No logic, clear thoughts, or sound reasoning to set goals. Just a dream.
However, it will be useful for documentation purposes. It will also be an addition to scientific inventions and mystical arts, but at the end of the day, it might only bring facial smiles and not a deep relief to the achievement of our set goals.

Beautiful point, but remember another thing about dreams, let say you had a dream that you entered a red car and unfortunately you had an accident in that car and something bad happened to you God forbid that will never be your portion.
Back to the story and then you weak up the next day and replay the dream and while going out a red car exactly the type from your dreams stop by to pick you, how would you feel???
Will you still take the ride knowing what you already saw from the dream? Everything has advantages and disadvantage, just look on the brighter side. Thanks for sharing

Yes, dreams also have a way of revealing the future to us. This is to throw caution and guide our actions.
And No, if I ever had that kind of dream and wake up to see such vehicle stopping before me to carry me. I won't bother boarding the vehicle.
Furthermore, considering the fact that what have advantages also have its disadvantages, the recording advice is meant for people that has spiritual dementia, people who can't remember their dreams in order to help them with such data's. But for those ones who can remember their dreams, it will be there like a dummy for them.
But it will definitely have its way into use if such device will ever come into existence 🤔 😅

I do agree with you on the aspect of fantasy. Having the opportunity to record and replay a dream which is almost impossible or simply unrealistic would cause a lot of people to shift all their focus on such, wishing, imagining and fantasizing over it.

Well, not all dreams are about riches and material stuff. There are some dreams that are lost childhood memories that are trying to find a way back to us through dreams. There are times people also dream about their lost loved ones, wish allows them to gain some closure.
