How I find my balance in a busy world

Life comes with a lot of things: responsibilities, challenges, and even expectations. It is unpredictable what next is coming our way; sometimes it is overwhelming and almost unbearable. Regardless of all these life's pressures, we have to find healthy ways to escape them, but escaping these pressures doesn't mean running away from them but finding ways to help us live, breathe, and return stronger. So, everyone finds their own techniques to enjoy life despite the hurdles. Here I will be stating some techniques that have helped me recharge whenever life feels too heavy.

One of my favorite escapes is baking and cooking. If you don't know, there is something therapeutic about mixing flour, sugar, and butter and also making some delicious dishes, or maybe it's just me that finds it therapeutic because, as I have mentioned earlier, everybody finds their own techniques. The happiness I find in just these ordinary ingredients transforming into something fascinating and comforting is real. The fact that aroma comes from my space brings me joy, for during that period of me baking and cooking, I just pour out all my worries and focus on the outcome of my creativity.

Another one that has helped me is "Music." Music is so powerful to the mind and soul; you will listen to some music, and it will speak with you concerning what is in your mind without you expressing it. During my downtime, I like listening to gospel songs; they usually lift my soul up. The words and their tracks remind me that life, despite its struggles, is still beautiful. It gives me this comfort that sometimes words alone can't.

Another escape that has helped me is talking to people who uplift me. You know, sometimes talking to someone close to you, knowing he or she will give you an audience to hear you out—not necessarily that they give you advice, but the fact that someone is available to hear out your worries—will definitely lift you up because a problem shared is half solved.

When you find that you are facing some stress and anxiety just find that thing that gives you joy and do.

Cooking truly helps me to de-stress too, but music is just my go to every time and luckily, there is a genre of music for every emotional situation

I love how you described cooking and music as therapy it’s true and I can also relate with it, and sometimes the simplest things help us breathe again. Talking to the right people also makes all the difference
