A lot of people are scared of vaccines in Nigeria, the claim that vaccines do not prevent but triggers diseases in the body, some says it a deceived way of implanting diseases in one body, so that he can come to hospital for the treatment. Alot of these rumors spread that makes those who hasn't received vaccines decided not to take it.
If we are to look at it ,in the olden days that there isn't vaccines like this , There were a lot of children death,right from the day they were born, even if I wasn't there then, my mom and grandma stories made me know that they believe it's a child of the mate, meaning a child that has a special connection with the spiritual realm that do die as they were born or after a short period of years. Not knowing the child might have been infected with a kind of diesese.
I was told the rate in which mothers lose their children then was exceedingly much. That's why they give birth to a lot of children, bcos of the fear of how many might later be healthy and live long.
Compare to nowadays where mothers receive vaccines during pregnancy and early stage of a child . The rate of loosing children has reduce drastically.
Are vaccines good or bad? Though vaccines has done harm to some citizens in Nigeria before but the way it was spoken about is not. Whenever a new vaccine is introduced in Nigeria,there is always a mistake, they have always been a mistake, it is either the person wasn't tested for any other sickness that might react to the vaccine in the body or they just realized some effects of it which should have been done before introducing it but nevertheless vaccines are good and have safe a lot of lives here in Nigeria.
As civilization begin to manifest, so is our things expecially foods are now changed, bcos of high cost of this, people go as far as jeopardizing our health for money, they grow crops with a lot of dangerous chemicals so it can germinate much . So, these vaccines that we have been receiving from birth has been the one helping us to fight against these diseases.
Vaccines are not bad but I think people should be oriented about it well before collecting it. Imagining a woman went to receive vaccines and leaves hospital to go to market, she fainted, when people would talk ,they said it's the vaccine that made her collapsed and might have damaged something in body . What will happen to someone who just got injected and didn't rest but went to market before, if not to faint . vaccines are good but our medial personnel need to take more examination and lectures on these vaccines .

STOPVaccines is something all women should be sensitised about as for them not to see it as poison and when they give birth, they will get their kids vaccinated because no new born kid should suffer from the ignorance of their parents

Getting vaccinated is a good one although we get it wrong as humans sometimes because of the misconceptions and lack of adequate knowledge on the importance of vaccines.
There are a lot of misconceptions around vaccines but I think they were birthed out of fear and our lack of openness to embrace change and growth.
Yes, some vaccines can react negatively, especially if the patient is allergic to it but in most cases, I know vaccines to be more of a savior.
