Agriculture is known to be as old as man. True. Life and existence in this world depend highly on it for survival. What we eat as humans are products of agriculture, be it as crops or livestock. The activities of agriculture have remained over time and passed down through generations which is essential. We need it dearly in life.

As time passed and industrialisation set in, it touched agriculture too. To that end, we have a mechanised system of agriculture which has been beneficial for the sake of large-scale farming beyond the subsistence system. Demands are high as the population grows, and agriculture is needed for purposes than before. Mechanisation had to be involved.
This doesn't stop the local farmer from doing his or her farming in their own way. Fortunately, I grew up where agricultural activities are common. The farming season is always a busy and hectic one. We were told stories of how it was common then that farmers, especially in the village, went to farms and slept in huts built there. It is not that common now, especially with the insecurity.
When it is necessary to buy food here, I do get surprised sometimes at the price put on food items. It is something else in other parts I know. People here have taken to food storage as one of the major investments. Somehow, I consider that the cryptocurrency world picked this idea from the system; buying at a low price and selling when the price has gone up.

I have been involved in agriculture. When we go to the village especially, we get well involved since it is their main occupation. You would be surprised at how much gain these farmers make when they sell their produce. A lot of money. Good money that many corporate workers don't see. It goes to highlight the power and possibilities in agriculture, not realised by many.
For some reason, when these agricultural products are sold by the manufacturers, the retailers at some point in the country or the world put unbelievable prices on them. Perhaps, transportation is the reason, or maybe it is more than that. And for me, the idea of getting these products directly from the producers seems nice.
One reason is that the way the food products are handled and stored by the retailers could be unhealthy. Some might use some unhealthy ways to preserve them utterly different from the local ways the producers would do, which proves healthier. Another reason is that it could be cheaper and could connect one to the producers in real time with fresh produce.

That brings me to the idea about what an app could do in this sense. Yes, it would serve these purposes mentioned above and maybe more. It would mean more for agriculture and the incorporation of technology into it. I would call such an app, if I could, FarmApp. The idea would be about bringing the “farm” alongside the producers to the end consumer.
The world today suggests a digital revolution, highly controlled by technology, and the need to bend or tilt towards that. Skills are there in that regard with many people rushing in. Agriculture, nevertheless, stands and will stand the test of time. We will always eat, hence making it a necessity. I think highly of agriculture, and that is why I see investment in it as a necessity as well.

Agriculture will only stand the test of time if it gets the attention and finances it needs, like in Nigeria it is slowly fading away, all the states where it is practiced very well have Fulani herdsmen or bandits killing farmers and now farmers are leaving that line of work for their own safety.
It's becoming a thing of concern today, with the insecurity in Nigeria chasing farmers away from their lands. I think we need to consider agriculture more.
Thank you.
Cultivating of crops is still essential, while some do it for commercial purposes, others do it for their need and it all serves a purpose. If only our government can invest largely into this, we may notice a change
Agriculture will always be a necessity. It will be wise for the government to take it seriously.
You’re right! The app will give consumers direct access to the farmers, rather than having to go through some retailers that sell food doused with preservatives, at outrageous prices. The agricultural sector will forever exist, it’s only right that technology is brought into it, as the world evolves.
You get it. It will save much in terms of health and prices even. Yes, with the advancement of the age, technology can't be denied from agriculture. It should mean more for it because agriculture will always stand relevant.
Thank you!
Exactly 💯
Some food storage patterns are very dangerous to health.
That's it. They affect our health.
Thank you.
