I have not been much of a Sci-fi movie fan, but I have watched a couple of them. A character could just bump into an extraordinary object, or find it lying in their backyard or fall from the sky in their front yard. Something like that. In those cases, it always turns out to be something useful and yes, it ends up giving the finder some sort of superpower. Yes, talk of a character like Captain Marvel. Similar case.
This is not a world of fiction though. The prompt’s suggestion kind of leans towards there. What if I find a spaceship, lying in my backyard, what would I do with it? Would I keep it, would I inform others, would I take it to a museum? What would be done with it? The prompt asks so. There's much to say on this, so let's dig in.
First of all, like most of the characters I have seen in Sci-fi movies, I would be surprised. Scepticism about the spaceship could also set in. Like, what is this doing here? Where did it come from? And why on this earth would it end up in my backyard? You know, all that attitude that suggests that one is surprised and trying to understand what is happening.
It could seem unbelievable, but not totally impossible. I mean, spaceships are not things that are totally oblivious to us. Though it isn't something you can just see especially when you have nothing to do with space. I guess the concern for me would be, where did it drop from, the space or by any reason from the launch site?
I would certainly be curious about what is contained in it. Hope it doesn't carry something harmful, a virus, something out of space that could be a disaster, which obviously would start with me and my family? In the midst of this, I think I still want to check it out. And myself before informing my close persons. So that at least, if there was some superpower I could get, let me not miss it to someone. Haha!
The responsibility for what to do with it won't be taken solely by myself alone. So, I mentioned I will bring a few close, trusted and reasonable persons who would take the responsibility of what to do with it together with me. I must say also that what is found inside could determine how to go about it. Maybe before even informing them, or after.
A situation like that is certainly one that could draw the attention of the public; the government would get involved, scientific research bodies, individuals of high status and the rest. With what the world has turned into, and our leaders are some of what we detest, I would hate that whatever is there, which could be of great potential and power to fall into the wrong hands.
With my circle of friends, we would find a way to secure the valuable items in a secret and safe location. After the spaceship; which I consider I would not keep to myself but let the necessary bodies or system know, after that has been done, later on we could try to find someone reliable and let them know what is necessary. Maybe then we can donate to a museum at the end.
Ever imagine if you can't open it up what then happens
There should be a way to open it up, somehow...
That fear of letting the wrong people get to it is another serious dilemma. But at the end, no matter what, they would still be involved
Yes. But at least with some level of caution ad careful jess about who gets involved.
Having people you can trust and share such information with us a blessing, many people don't even have trusted friends or people they can share something like this with.
Truly, is a blessing. We should have people we can trust with vital information.
