What is a ghost to me?
I think ghosts are the new form dead people attain, especially if they are yet to complete their assignment or mission here on earth. I associate ghosts with dead people who died untimely, and they still wish for a way to come back to life, so they hang on to life, and we see them as ghosts.
Are there ghosts in the world?
That would be a yes for me, because I had heard of so many examples of people seeing ghosts. There is a Yoruba folklore about Akudaya, and this term Akudaaya (often spelled Akudaya), refers to a "living wraith" or a spirit of a person who has died in one location but reappears in a faraway town to start a new life. This is another typical example of what I would refer to as a ghost because in most of these stories, the said person always disappears when close to the people or families from their previous life (an attribute of ghosts - to disappear).
What does a ghost feel like?
I believe ghosts are spirit beings, and we should get to feel them more than see them. You can either feel the presence of a ghost or see a physical manifestation sich as moving object or afterimages.
After the death of my dad, although I was not physically present when it happened but, it still had an impact on me. I realized alot of things, and I even did not come back home, but not out of fear of his ghost, rather out of fear of the responsibility he left behind for me.
Eventually, I had no choice but to come, and that was when I could tell you I had a total belief that ghosts do exist. I would just be alone, and I would see an afterimage of him passing by, I would feel his body scent, and even sometimes hear him calling from a distance. All these things I had experienced, and even till this day, some still happen. I had even wondered if it was just my imagination, but then when I asked other people, I got to see that it’s a similar experience.
In conclusion, I believe that ghosts do exist and only those who has experience death in one way or the other such as losing a loved one or friend would be able to relate more. Death is a mystery, and the more we keep trying to understand it, the more the mystery grows into things like ghosts.

I thought I was hallucinating or overthinking when I felt my grandma close to me on the day of her burial when I got home. Like the presence was thick and I brushed it off.
This shows they do exist.

I still don't know if there's even a difference between a ghost or a spirit. Is it that the former is a vengeful spirit like you earlier believed seeking retribution and the latter being a peaceful astral being just roaming the earth seeking enlightenment....???
This is mystery, we can only speculate.

Its often people that have lost a loved one that experience that strange occurrence (ghosts)
