For most people, to them , work is just about making or should i say earning money. They show up everyday, do what needs to be done and then wait for the pay day. This is more of a survival, the fulfilment is what it rarely brings. The real transformation is when we tie work to a meaning. This is when it grows above just a job and becomes a calling.
Coming down to us , what is our own perspective of work, do we see it as a burden or a chance to contribute to something much more large. The task that we do does not really bring much difference, but our perspective is what really makes the difference. The same duty can be performed by a lot of people but only few will actually derive true satisfaction from it, this could simply be from the fact that they choose to tie it to a purpose.
The promotions, job titles, or positions does not give work its meaning, but rather it is found in how you interpret what you do as the day goes by. When your efforts is tied to service to humanity, growth, or improving the life of others, that is when the effort becomes more significant.
Take a moment to reflect on the work you do. Ask your self this simple question, who and who benefits from the work that you do? how does it make other people life easy, or better, does it make their life meaningful ? By learning to connect your job to a higher purpose, you will unluck the joy , and energy that money alone can not buy.
This is not only limited to the work place alone, maybe at school or at home, let us see our task or chores as a way of making life better
