Away from anything related to science or technology this time around, the first of this week's prompts kind of got me by surprise, and at the same time, it was not a surprise because I have once thought of something related to this prompt topic.
Yes, some of us usually have those fleeting whispers at night when we put our bodies to rest. In my culture, if you are someone who is close with the elders, they will always say that anytime we dream, it is a sign from the gods because they are trying to send a message across. But what is the main reason why we dream? My grandfather once said that anytime we have a dream, it is a signal that we are interacting with the universe, a sign of connection. And he once shared a story with us on how one of his dreams came to reality.
However, when we look at the scientific aspects of this, I once read that most times when we have a dream, it is the last thing on our mind and emotions that comes to play in that dream. I do not know how true this is, but some said it is totally true. I am not much of a dreamer, so I cannot really say. My dreams always come once in a while, and they are always significant.
However, where I am from, it is believable that most of our dreams are meant to guide us, showing us what is coming, either good or bad, from our consciousness to our subconscious, which helps us to reflect deeply on our inner self.
As I look back on some of the dreams that I have dreamt, I realize that some brought hope, courage, and fear. This might be different from your dreams, but that is what my dreams have revealed to me.
