RE: Money Doesn't Change People, It Reveals Who They Are

Lol, this reminded me of my brother’s close friend. Things were really hard for him and his family, and he was always at our house, morning, afternoon, night. Sometimes if I cooked and the food finished early, I would even give him my share and go to bed hungry. That’s how much I cared. He became more like family, and even my mum admired his attitude and told my brother to learn from him.

But everything changed when my brother went off to school. All of a sudden, this guy started showing off, wearing expensive clothes, riding the latest bike, using the latest iPhone. And just like that, he stopped coming around. No greetings, no visits, nothing. Not even to my mum who cared so much for him.

It’s just funny how life works. I’ve learned that money doesn’t change people, it reveals who they really are. I just pray we never let success make us forget those who were there when we had nothing, or better still money shouldn't make us loose genuine people.

Hmm. That is life. You will think people really care until they touch some measure of money.

Was that kind of change even necessary? Even if he will change towards your brother and the rest of the family but atleast not Mom and Dad..

Well, it's well..
