Being disappointed by someone you really trust is disheartening especially when you had high hopes in this person.
Have you ever been In a situation where you have to call someone to represent you or help you out in a project, meeting or presentation?
Well, mine was a case of presentation. We had a group presentation in school for a management course and I was the group leader. This presentation was going to be used in place of our management exams. After preparing the presentation and doing the needful, as the D day approached, I started feeling sick. It was unlike me to feel that way or rather feel sick all of a sudden. So I had no other option than to call the assistant group leader to help me start the presentation when it was our turn and that I'll come in a bit late due to how I was feeling, and he agreed to cover for me till I arrive and I became calm cos I trusted him to do a good Job.
So while I got ready to leave the house and head to school, my phone began beeping, "who's this one calling me again'" I said to myself cos it was an unknown number. I picked up only for the caller to tell me that the assistant group leader was no where to be found, and that He went will all the needed printouts for the presentation, not only that, we have just ten minutes before our group will be called on to present. I didn't want to believe it but I decided to call him myself and it rang but he didn't respond, I called again but he did the same thing. That was when I knew that if I don't get to the school immediately, we'll loose the marks we aimed for and probably fail the course. I quickly hurried and checked the time, from my house to the school will take like 25 to 30 minutes. I had to take a bike directly from my gate to the school.
On reaching the school, our time to present had passed, and the remaining group embers couldn't do much cos of the printout that was with the assistant group leader.
I was confused, I didn't know what to do anymore. I gathered courage and walked up to the lectures and pleaded with them to give us a second chance and I explained everything that had happened to them. It took me more that an hour trying to plead with them but they finally agreed. While I was pleading with them, others from the group quickly went to make another print out. And so, we were given just 15 minutes to present whatsoever we wanted to present and we had to make sense on time no matter what.
God helped us, we did our best within the short minutes, even tho I wasn't still too strong.
After the whole presentation, that was when the so called assistant group showed up. We were all so angry at him and as God would have it we all passed the course with a B but he had to carryover the course.
He disappointed us all but God showed up for us.
