A Lesson Learned About Trust and Friendship

in SciFi Multiverse10 hours ago

Greetings everyone,
I'm glad to participate in this Sci-Fi weekly prompt “Building Trust in Relationship and Friendship.”

What trust means to me is having a strong belief in someone that, no matter what, such a person can’t betray you. When you have tested the person in every aspect and he or she passes all the tests, that’s what trust means to me.

To me, friendship means a bond built on love, trust, understanding, and support. It’s not just about spending time together, but about being there for each other—in good times and bad. Friendship, to me, must be a safe space where you can be yourself, share your dreams, laugh freely, and cry without shame.

A relationship is a connection or bond between two or more people. It’s built through love, trust, communication, respect, and understanding. A relationship means how people relate, interact, and care for each other, whether it’s family or friendship.

Yes, I have lost my trust in someone before. Some years back, when I was in school, I had a friend—we were really close to the extent that I didn’t keep anything from him.

Back then, I used to sell handouts given to me by lecturers because I was the class rep. Any gain I made from the handouts, I usually shared with my friend, and I had been doing that several times. But to cut the story short, I noticed that this friend of mine couldn’t spend his money on anyone except girls. There was a time I got broke and called him to help me out, but he told me he didn’t have any money at hand. That same day, I caught him spending money on ladies around our area.

Since that day, the trust I had in him vanished, and still, I find it difficult to rebuild that trust again.

Thanks for reading.
