One thing we that we should understand in life is that nothing happens for nothing and to everything that happens someone somewhere and somehow has paid a price or make sacrifice for that knowingly and unknowingly.
What we sometimes see as luck is the result of a price that you paid for something or someone has paid for you and you get it by grace. The luck you get at work maybe you prayed about it sometime ago or maybe somebody somewhere has paid a price about that for you. So there was work, either hard or not hard .
At times the luck that we have is divinely planned by God, but in as much as it was divinely planned it doesn't mean you won't still have to do a little work to claim it. But there are people who are not that favoured that is where hard-work comes in to make your luck locate you.
So some people succeed by hard work , they were not born with a silver spoon, so they have to work out their salvation and they still succeed. And they are some people that were born with a silver spoon , meaning they don't have to struggle for anything before getting it, so such people succeeding does not mean there was no work or sacrifice some where , maybe they had parents , siblings, uncles who have worked for them and theirs is to benefit, that's their luck. But for people that has no such luck, must work hard if not get ready to see shege.
I had a friend back then in my secondary school, who was so favored to come from a wealthy family and he didn't lack anything, even at the level of secondary school he was on money , that was his luck. But after some years the parents passed on and they could not really manage some of the properties and investment that the parents left behind, so they use some of those things as they wished and the funds was no longer coming as before and at that point it was dawn on them that they need to work to survive and not just work but work hard.
So in summary, success can come by luck you get divinely by God or the one someone has sacrifice for you and at time it comes by you being hardworking.
