Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog. With each passing day our world continues to evolve as well as move towards a complete digitalization, a world where humans get to do little or nothing and leave all the heavy lifting to robots and artificial intelligence. As much as that will be fun and provide us humans with more time to relax and enjoy life, the truth is that there will be consequences, and some of them will be quite expensive.
Having clones or getting ourselves a look-alike can be fun and something many people would want to opt in for, but not me. I really don't think I will give the go ahead for a clone of myself to be created or brought into existence. Has someone ever hated or loved you just because you look like someone? Then imagine a scenario like that because it exists, and I have had my own experience, though it is not a bad one, but I try to picture if it was bad.
About a year ago I was doing my internship training at a company, and I got to become very close friends with one of the permanent staff there, not because I was diligent or because I behaved well but because he said I look exactly like his cousin, and that alone made him like me and favor me more than other interns. In the firm there is lunch for permanent staff but no lunch for interns, but because I look like his cousin, he considers me family and will always make sure that I am given food despite being an intern. Other staffs complained, but he did not care.
He said the cousin I look like is abroad but was the one that helped him achieve everything that he is today, and he owes a lot to that his cousin, and since I look like him, he will treat me just like he would have treated his cousin if they came across each other again. After my internship training, I was the first to get my papers stamped and signed because he took care of it personally. While others kept pleading and begging for a signature and stamp, I was far gone.
So now I try to imagine if maybe his cousin had caused him harm or had done something bad to him, what would have been my fate? Maybe after the internship he will decline signing on my paper and ask me to leave without any evidence that I actually did the training, all these for just a resemblance where there will definitely be a slight difference. Now imagine a clone that looks exactly like you, talks like you, and does things like you; that one will leave you paying for crimes you did not commit.
For me, no clones; let's stay original, and whatever we cannot get done ourselves should be left undone instead of getting clones to get it done.

I understand your point. Clones might look fun, but they can bring big problems. It’s better we just stay the way we are.
Exactly, avoid clones and save yourself the problems they'd bring.
Well I love how you doing want to defy nature but for someone like me who loves experiencing the sci-fi world in real life, I'll say bring it on
Sci-fi guru, I think I read your entry hehe.
Thanks for stopping by.
