In the present economy, whereby cost of living is now very difficult for the living, people don't really take good care about what the quality of food they consume. People prefer plenty of food than the quality of food. It's not actually their fault because it's what they can afford, people don't really care about eating healthy, they only eat what's available at the moment.

Personally, i love eating quality meals, i mean balanced diet. There's nothing compared to homemade food, when i cook at home, i take my time to get the freshest vegetables and ingredients . Whenever I'm preparing a meal, I'm always careful about what goes inside my meal. One thing is certain, "Homemade meal is 100% better than a meal cooked in a restaurant".
I have worked in a restaurant during my school days, with what I've experienced, i can boldly say eating is some restaurants or canteen, is as good as eating poison. I'm not saying all the restaurants and canteens are the same, my point is, when cooking a homemade meal, you'd know what is going inside your pot, from vegetables down to the water.
Eating habits
My eating routine is not stable, somedays i have my breakfast by 10:00.a.m. which is okay for me, because i have a really low appetite, eating early can be a little challenge for me. Most people prefer light meals for breakfast, but I'm the opposite. I'd rather eat rice and red stew or yam and vegetables than, have to drink tea and bread for breakfast .
My reason for eating healthy and heavy food in the morning, is because it helps me gather enough energy to start my day. Any day, i take light meal for breakfast, i easily get tired and end up not having enough energy to start my day. Health meals for lunch is also necessary. Some days , when am at work and it's time to have my lunch, i always find it so difficult to buy food from a restaurant or a canteen. In such occasions I'd rather eat fruits for lunch, rather than buying food from the restaurant.
I just have an issue with dinner, some nights i go to bed without having dinner and this is because, i don't like eating late as a result of my digestion issues. When i say late, I'm not talking about 8pm downwards, i mean when it's 6pm , i can no longer eat anything heavy. Most times, I take oats and chia seeds for dinner.
Eating heavy food in the morning, eating fruits for lunch and taking oats for dinner. For me i consider this a balance diet. Here's a thing about eating healthy that a lot of people don't understand. Eating healthy doesn't really cost a lot, it is possible to eat healthy on a budget. It doesn't have to be in a large quantity, that's the mistake a lot of people make, having this mindset that the food has to be in large quantity.
I know the economy is making things hard for everyone and the cost of food stuffs are not pocket friendly, that's shouldn't stop us from eating healthy. Here's a thing about eating healthy. Eating healthy, helps to nourish out body giving use the necessary nutrients our body needs. If a person eats healthy, it's very rare before such person falls sick. Now you see, there advantage in eating quality not quantity.

Lately the economy is forcing us to choose quantity over quality.
I know that the economy is hard.
But eating healthy in a little quantity matters alot to our health.

The economy situation has made people focus more on quantity than quality. I try my best to eat healthy but I still have to improve because I skip meals alot which is also not healthy.

Before the present situation of the economy, some people don't care about a balanced diet they eat what whether carbohydrates or protein. And this attitude has caused some people's health challenges. As for me, I prefer protein food to any other meal, and also I hardly eat in a restaurant.
