MY PRECIOUS WHISKY

Growing up, I found dogs to be very adorable and friendly, we had this lovely dog my dad named whisky, I was so fond of this dog that I made this dog my best friend at the time, whenever I was going to school the dog walks me to school and will always wait for me after school hours to walk me back home, he wouldn’t eat anything from anyone unless it was giving to him by myself. He was a thrilled dog. Dogs have emotions; they cry, they get angry, they get sad, and they also get happy. We share all feelings with them, so it will be unreasonable to say they don’t have dreams of their own.

Whenever whisky had a nice dream, I usually notice it from how he interacts with people around, he will seem very happy and playful all through the day because of how the dream has made him feel. One time whisky was sleeping, I could see something strange with him, he was sleeping but you could see something was going on, his eyes where kind of moving and he was making some sounds even while he was deep a sleep, he will change his sleeping position and all these things he was doing was with his eyes still closed, I found it strange that day but it was so amusing that I just stood there and kept staring at whisky. This is the first day I saw whisky or any other dog for that matter sleeping very peacefully, and I came to the conclusion and realisation that even dogs dream dreams.

If I were told at the time that dogs also dream, I would have never believed the person, but seeing Whisky that day, I had the idea of dogs dreaming sold out to me completely, and it made me start to notice other dogs. Our cat will always come to sleep on our bed at night sometimes, and I will conclude that the cat must have had a nightmare, and I will let it sleep close to it to feel safe. Pets have emotions too, just like humans do, and so they all have dreams, good dreams and bad dreams.

My name is @rishagamo, and above is my submission for the Sci-Fi Multiverse prompt Week 40 Edition 1 “PETS DREAMING”.

Sometimes we just see things that convince us that pets do dreams.

Dogs are really good to stay with but most especially the ones that knows you

It's funny amazing and intruiging watching these creatures exhibit these traits. The first time I saw it, I thought the dog was possessed.

I still find it hard to believe that pet have dreams. Even if whisky was indeed having a dream, who would a dog discuss their dreams with. It sounds a little bit sad to have dreams but without the means to let anyone know.
