Watching My Dreams Like a Movie

in SciFi Multiverse21 hours ago

Among the things that are the most mysterious in the human life is dreams. We all see dreams. There are other dreams that occur when we are wide awake and our eyes open and we are just having our wishes, hopes and desires. It is these dreams that drive us on. They cause us to work, plan and struggle to have a better future.

But we have another kind of dream, the dreams that we see my shutting our eyes at night when we fall asleep. These dreams are very sweet, very strange, and at times totally terrifying. In numerous occasions, individuals go to the extent of shaking hands with sleep well or sweet dreams since dreams are a normal aspect in our life.

Certain dreams are so beautiful that by the time I get up and realize that I was dreaming, I would have wished that it was true. I would prefer that moment, that happiness to exist in reality.

On some nights, I also experience dreams that make me scared and upon waking up, I am grateful to God that it was just another dream. Dreams make life interesting since we can go to places we have never been, see people we have never seen or get to experience things that we may never achieve in real life.

That is peculiar about dreams, however, there are times when I do not remember what I saw at all when I wake up. The dream seems to fade away into nonexistence. Only the feeling remains. Mornings come when I sit on the bed and reason trying to recall what happened in the dream.

It takes a little prodding of my mind, but I can occasionally recall some little clues - a face, a place, or a sentence someone uttered in the dream. But what is most of the time lost forever is the complete story.

Suppose you imagine quite the contrary. What about having a world where we are able to write down our dreams. You can imagine going to bed, dreaming and then waking up and pressing a button to rewind and watch everything that was on your screen, just like watching a movie clip on your phone.

You might sit down and relax and see your dream rewound. You might stop it, replay it or introduce it to another person. You might have the sweet dreams, laugh at the strange dreams and even make attempts to explain the scary dreams.

My mind goes way out thinking about this type of a world. Will I really want to fill recordings and replay my dreams should this technology be available? On one hand, yes. It would be a wonderful experience. It would be like a movie that I am watching where I am the only viewer, I am watching my dreams.

I would learn a lot about myself that I did not even notice before. I would get to know better my fears, my secret needs, and even the little things my heart is trying to convey to me. Perhaps I would dream of something that should get me to work harder, love more, or forgive someone. Perhaps, I would get messages that challenge me to become a better person.

But conversely, there are dreams which are too personal. Other dreams are associated with profound fear or traumatizing memories. Looking at the same dreams over and over could be pain or can confuse me.

There are dreams that should be forgotten. It is even better that dreams sometimes disappear. They make us remember that it is not necessary to retain everything and repeat everything. The very life teaches to go on.

I believe it would be fun, however, a huge burden, because of the ability to write dreams down. Dreams are windows to our soul. They demonstrate our identity when we are alone. Having the ability to replay my dreams would be magic, however, I would need some wisdom to determine which dreams to retain and which dreams to discard.

Nevertheless, such a thought of entering the world like that is inspirational. It makes me see the strength of human mind. It reveals that we have a universe of memories, fears, stories and hopes inside of us.

We may or may not write down our dreams, but this much is the most significant; and that is, we must not only dream when we are asleep, but also when we are awake. The dreams that build our life are those awake dreams, the dreams which we are able to see with the naked eyes.

Ultimately, regardless of the fact that technology will ever enable us to film dreams or not, there is still one truth: dreams make us live and have hope and belief.

They make us remember that there is something bigger than things we see every single day. Life is full of opportunities and all dreams, good or bad, make us cognize ourselves better and continue to develop.

While it sounds like a great thing, personally I don't buy the Idea of replaying or rewathing my dream

Dreams are indeed mysterious, dreaming when we are awake is something I never thought of, thanks for sharing 👍
