Greetings!
Indeed there's no gain saying that blood is thicker than water. The connection that blood brings to family is so strong that it cannot be dismissed.
Although, the way people were brought up is different from one family to the other as a result of the different backgrounds of the families which cannot be taken away from that smallest unit of the society called family.
I can vividly remember that in my own family, we were brought up with love. In my own family, we love each other and this might be connected to the way our grandparents and parents made all of us both extended and nuclear families to see and relate with each other.
Back then, we were brought up eating together in a bowl, and aside from this we at the end of every year or when there's an occasion, put on the same clothes as uniform and no one in my family is committed or rejected when it comes to doing things together.
In fact, the way we grandchildren see ourselves is more of the same father and mother and this was as a result of our my parents relate with their siblings too and this is not limited to my father's side alone as the same is obtainable in my mother's side also.
So, for me to have grown up in such a beautiful atmosphere and family, I have really learnt how to love others and to this beautiful experience has become part of me to the extent of replicating it in my own home as well.
Although, when I got married to my wife, she was not as we used to have it in our own home as she was used to doing things privately on her own unlike our own way of a communal life where we eat, wine, dine and even relate together. Though, my wife and her siblings have this kind of an immense love for each other, but, they are this kind of family that would pray alone, eat alone and do things on their own.
In conclusion, my family has taught me to live together and also, to love everyone around us without doing things on our own and this has really helped us as a family as United we stand and divided we fall, but in our case, we are always standing and this has become our family standard.
