Hello everyone Assalamualaikum.I am Jakia Simi from Bangladesh. Today's video i want to share the process of making rice from paddy.Paddy drying and harvesting is an integral part of rural life in Bengal. The main livelihood of the people of the village is agriculture. One of the agricultural activities is the cultivation of paddy.
Paddy is the main food grain in Bangladesh. To make rice from paddy, it must first be dried. Drying paddy is an important step in agriculture. Newly harvested paddy usually contains a lot of moisture. If this moisture is not reduced, the paddy can rot. Drying paddy removes moisture. Drying makes the paddy storable. Farmers usually dry paddy in the yard or field. When dried properly, the quality of the paddy is maintained. The role of weather is very important during drying paddy. If there is no sun, it becomes difficult to dry paddy. Drying paddy is a problem during the rainy season. If not dried, fungus can grow in the paddy. Therefore, drying rice is very essential.
During drying, the rice has to be shaken repeatedly. This dries the rice evenly. Sometimes, bamboo mats are used while drying the rice. Before drying, the rice has to be shaken. So that straw, soil, leaves, etc. are not mixed in. If there is good sunshine, the rice dries quickly. When the rice is completely dried, its color becomes lighter. It can be stored for longer. Insects or fungi are less likely to attack. This increases the farmer's profit. Therefore, rice should be dried with an understanding of the time and quantity.
Usually, rice is soaked overnight in a large pot, then boiled. After boiling, it is dried in the sun and stored.Rice should be dried to a certain extent because if it is dried too much, it breaks, while if it is dried too little, bacteria attack the rice.

The scene is like the 90s.When we were kids, we used to see scenes like this from house to house in rural areas, which I don't see much of now.
I did these things myself when I was in high school and living at my father's house, and there is a rural joy to it.
