Measuring Emotions as Currency

in SciFi Multiverse15 days ago

We live in a beautiful world with many mind-blowing sights and things that make our lives intriguing. Alongside that, we've got amazing creatures, including humans and animals. However, despite how great the world is, we've also got some bad or terrible individuals who only care about themselves and often make life miserable for others without caring about the effect of their behavior on them. And that's why we've got lots of sad people in our world, who are in this state because of different reasons, such as life challenges, finances, health, and the like. So paraventure the world currency is changed from the traditional money we know to emotions, how would the world and people fare?

The idea of having the world currency changed to something entirely different from what we already know would be both good and bad news, and I'll explain why I believe it'll be so. It's a good thing because at least for most of those who were financially poor in the past, now they've an opportunity to reinvent their lives. Given the fact that the new currency is going to be all about emotions, I think most people aren't always sad; it's only their lack that brings about sadness, but beyond that they often derive joy and happiness from their family members and loved ones, and those happinesses go on to help them purchase some valuable things in this new world driven by emotions.

On the other hand, I said it might be a bad thing because if people have already acquired lots of money, which is the currency that signifies wealth, having it be useless would mean they're broke and would have to start all over again. This alone would bring about sadness to their heart, and that's not forgetting the fact that sadness is one of the lowest valuable currencies, so it's more of a loss to them. It's been a harsh reality to deal with, especially for those who worked really hard relentlessly to turn their life around financially, only to be told those don't hold value again.

On the bright side, I believe this would be a good thing for the world, especially given the fact that we'll have less anger, hate, or fighting that brings about disputes and war, and when such is the order of the day, we'll have a much more peaceful and happy world for all, since there's no point in stealing or kidnapping, knowing fully well you can't necessarily steal someone's joy or happiness since it's a feeling and knowing that when you try to do that, you're also indirectly making yourself poorer. So in light of that, I think it'll be a good idea, and it'll be kind of exciting to have such a change in our world today, because it'll spread love and empathy amongst many, be it genuine or fake.

Having endless emotions, especially good ones, means many people would be able to afford a lot of good things, and so I think in my case I'll acquire as much as possible of everything I need and would make me and my family have a comfortable life. Although while this seems good, it might be detrimental to people who have one form of illness, sickness, or disease, given the fact that their health status can't be treated with emotions, and such sickness will put them in a sad mood regularly, meaning they might not have happy emotions that would give them the opportunity to afford good health care and the like.

I tend to agree with you that the introduction of such system would be both good and bad as we have the advantage and disadvantage always, but looking at the brighter side it's for our own good and healthy growth. Nice write-up

That's very true.

I agree with the case scenario. The wealthy ones would be sad and then lose some funds, whereas those who aren't financially buoyant will have a lot ot funds, but there again, what about the vulnerable and those that can easily corrupt the system. Therefore, the world would be a better place when our emotions are controlled to enable us to be a better version of ourselves.

You're absolutely right.

Do have a great day

Well, it is so sad that to fix something, another thing has to be destroyed. It will be unfortunate for those who already have money now. It will be painful especially for those who earned it legitimately.

In this type of world, anyone who is poor is responsible for it, because everything is packaged on our inside, it's left for us to draw out as much as we can.

Well, happiness would indeed change the world. But then, I don't think it'll be too easy to

Happiness would bring positive changes to the world but the truth is that it won't be easy to actualize.

Good emotions means a lot
