It’s been over two years since HF27, and I have to admit:
It feels really good to finally have another Hardfork. Call me crazy, but there’s something special about seeing the entire community come together for a major network upgrade. Everyone’s locked in, hanging out in chat, counting down the seconds, and staring at the blockchain node logs together. Truly magical.
I’m also happy to share that HF28 went smoothly — and as it turns out, yours truly produced the HF28 block: 101319928. 🥳
There’s a reason so much development effort over the years has gone into L2 solutions like HAF. Hardforks inherently carry risk, and introducing major changes without breaking things is anything but easy.
So once again, big kudos to the core devs for their hard work and thorough testing.

Congratulations, I remember when I got my first DAO payment from a Blockchain and I was glued to the Blockchain logs and seen the exact moment when that block cleared and my account was awarded, it was all so surreal.
I feel you must have felt something like that as well. A reminder of everything being so timed-locked at an incredible predictability. Well, almost, I still needed to wait for the next 5 blocks to "confirm" the tx. But still!!
It's really gotten a lot smoother compared to the earlier version.
I remember when the whole chain could go sideways for days after a hardfork and things would break out of nowhere.
Now it doesn't even blip anymore.
Great work from the devs.
