I may well take it on my travels. There are some other devices for that sort of thing, but they tend to be much more expensive.

I've got a midi keyboard but I should have got something like this self contained unit. The midi keyboard is good but doesn't generate it's own sounds.
I've had my big Casio for years, but got the Akai as a potential portable option as well as fitting on my desk. I can use it to play instruments on my PC, phone or tablet as well as the little FM1. I have MIDI drums too so could build up a rig. The issue tends to be space.
