In My Country.

In my country
There are learned hyenas
With fancy robes made of silk
No one gets as rich as them
They are at the helms of power
They make the law, they make the people conform to them
Illiterates ruling literates - What an irony!

In my country
There are rich poor -
Those that are poor but rich in their class
They consider themselves the comfortable poor
But in the eye of the economy
They are poor, not even average
Then think about the really poor
Think about how poor they must be

In my country
There are people with goals - big and outstanding goals
Coupled with intellects to achieve them
But they lack, not in labour or space
They lack capital, they lack the government's backing

In my country,
Permanence is the motto
Even if you want to move out
There are barely any spaces left
The rich never allow building more rich people like them
Those in government never want to leave a position
Even if they leave
Their offspring succeeds them

In my country
There are people like us
Who wants change, who crave success and moving forward
Prayers in mind and hard work in hand
We hope to break this curse of stagnancy
So help us, God. Amen

Thank you for your time.

My pen doesn't bleed, it speaks, with speed and ease.

Still me,

My tongue is like the pen of a ready writer.

Olawalium; (Love's chemical content, in human form). Take a dose today: doctor's order.

Interesting look at the world. But I would ask why do you need capitol from the government to get your idea off the ground? Is the possibility of attracting investors to a project not slowed in your country, or is it just an option that’s not thought of?

Nigeria is a different ball game.
