Estábamos en nuestra reunión semanal todo el equipo de nuestra Casa de la Cultura cuando nos llamó el metodologo municipal de Artes Plasticas para comunicarnos que el Jefe de la Brigada de Bomberos del municipio lo contacto para invitarnos a que nuestros alumnos participen en el concurso por el día internacional de los Bomberos que será el próximo 4 de Abril. Es un bonito tema para pintar pense inmediatamente. Los tres Instructores de Artes Plasticas estuvimos de acuerdo en acoger la propuesta y presentarsela a nuestros alumnos, que son mayoritariamente niños.
Recuerdo que hace pocos meses fuí seleccionado para pasar el Curso de Protección Contra Incendios representando la Casa de la Cultura. Y realmente aprendí mucho de lo relacionado con las técnicas y organización para prevenir y apagar incendios. Lo más importante es la prevención para evitar la perdida de recursos materiales y vidas humanas.
Los niños se entusiasmaron con el tema. Primero tuvimos una charla sobre los Bomberos, para esclarecer cuales son sus funciones,deberes y obligaciones. Así como reconocer las distintas acciones que realizan. Desde actividades educativas, asesorías y consultas para el buen funcionamiento y conocimiento de los medios de protección contra incendios, hasta apagar incendios y rescatar personas y animales. También actúan en caso de desastres o accidentes. Por el valor que muestran en su trabajo es que son los héroes de los niños...
Después de comprender las distintas aristas que tiene el tema de los Bomberos, los pequeños artistas comenzaron a pintar. Cada uno esbozo su composición desde una perspectiva libre y muy personal. Sus héroes Bomberos fueron surgiendo en los distintos escenarios, siempre valientes, siempre dispuestos, arriesgando sus vidas para cumplir con sus nobles tareas.
Las Técnicas? Las pinturas resultaron de la mezcla de varias técnicas. Usualmente usan lápices, crayolas, carbón de madera y tizas escolares. Pero está vez también me solicitaron usar la acuarela. Por eso en algunos dibujos la hoja se ve que se sobresaturo del agua de la acuarela, pues realmente son hojas para escribir.Pero eso es lo novedoso de los efectos logrados. Siempre los guío en el proceso pero con absoluta libertad.Les enseñó que incluso para participar en un concurso lo primero es realizar una buena obra y sobre todo disfrutar el proceso de la creación. Ese es el verdadero premio.
Precisamente hoy recibí la invitación del equipo de CELF Magazine para publicar en esta comunidad que reconoce e impulsa el arte dentro de Hive. Como artista agradezco la invitación y el trabajo que hacen para visualizar y apoyar a los Hivers Creadores... gracias..

We were in our weekly meeting with the whole team of our Casa de la Cultura when we got a call from the Municipal Plastic Arts methodologist to inform us that the Chief of the Fire Brigade of the municipality contacted him to invite our students to participate in the contest for the International Firemen's Day, which will be next April 4th. It's a nice theme to paint, I immediately thought. The three Art Visual Instructors agreed to accept the proposal and present it to our students, who are mostly children.
I remember that a few months ago I was selected to pass the Fire Protection Course representing the Casa de la Cultura. And I really learned a lot about techniques and organization to prevent and extinguish fires. The most important thing is prevention to avoid the loss of material resources and human lives.
The children were very enthusiastic about the subject. First we had a talk about firefighters, to clarify their functions, duties and obligations. As well as to recognize the different actions they perform. From educational activities, advice and consultations for the proper functioning and knowledge of the means of fire protection, to extinguishing fires and rescuing people and animals. They also act in case of disasters or accidents. Because of the courage they show in their work, they are the heroes of the children.
After understanding the different aspects of the firefighters' theme, the little artists began to paint. Each one sketched their composition from a free and very personal perspective. Their firefighter heroes emerged in the different scenarios, always brave, always ready, risking their lives to fulfill their noble tasks.
The Techniques? The paintings resulted from the mixture of several techniques. Usually they use pencils, crayons, charcoal and school chalk. But this time I was also asked to use watercolor. That's why in some of the drawings you can see that the paper is oversaturated with watercolor water, because they are really writing paper, but that's the novelty of the effects achieved. I always guide them in the process, but with absolute freedom, and I teach them that even to participate in a contest, the first thing is to make a good work and above all to enjoy the process of creation. That is the real prize.
Just today I received an invitation from the CELF Magazine team to publish in this community that recognizes and promotes art within Hive. As an artist I appreciate the invitation and the work they do to visualize and support the Hivers Creators... thank you....
