Very true. You sometimes read people say the most important thing about Hive is the people, the community. I'd say that's pretty accurate. Steemit has the infrastructure, but without the people, is going nowhere. Even the technical aspects of Hive are due to the people here building. Which is why Hive has grown technically, Steemit seems to be stuck in the same state as during the hf.!LUV
