I can't say I don't know much about the politics in the UK, but I can say that people who are politicians share some sort of semblance in their way of life, mannerism and lifestyle. However I think because not all of them are deliberately inclined to harm the people, or the system. But we can definitely agree that they lie, cheat and hide a lot of propaganda and crazy stuff which they do in secret.
I think the fact that they obviously lie in an attempt to decieve people, is why a lot of people do not trust them.
Most politicians behave the way they do out of self-interest, i.e., for more wealth or simply to avoid being exposed for some of their past actions. They are able to do this because they lack sufficient empathy to stop themselves. I think very few politicians hurt the people of their country for the joy of it.
I use to think it was just the politicians in Nigeria that had this way of life, although I do believe that some are worse than the others, but I find it very disturbing that politicians are humans who have killed their conscience and no longer have empathy of service.
