This morning we woke up to sunshine and a clear blue sky. 'Wow, are we actually in Portugal?!' After a month of storms, the country looks more like a PIGSTY.
After some jokes with local friends, I decided to go for a walk with one of the pigs... uhm, kids. It felt like spring, with calves and little lambs darting around. We walked for 3.5 hours through muddy tracks to get to the nearest village. My goal? A nice cold beer on a terrace in the sun.
But alas, we never reached a bar. Instead, we met these three cute local residents and they looked SOW happy. It looked like they were in hog heaven. So yeah, let’s just view this current 'mud-bath' experience in Portugal as wellness... for the pigs. They certainly seem to think Portugal is paradise!
Hang in. Don't go mud out there.
It will soon get drier.
