In August of 2020 I worked on the set of a short film, written and directed by Sosiessia Nixon Kelly. It is called Fear. A rather interesting title considering that this was the directors first film and she was experiencing of fear directing it. The story is about a man that has a challenging mental health issue that leads him to stay isolated in his apartment. When a little boy named Danny comes over, things take an unexpected turn.
The film has won several awards and has been accepted by most of the festivals it was submitted to. The short film came from a personal place for Sosiessia, who tackles her own challenges and fears in life. For her this piece was a way of expressing that fear creatively.
