Hola queridos amigos de la comunidad de Bellas Artes, tengo algún tiempo sin escribir por acá, pero todo ha sido de provecho gracias a Dios. La universidad me ha mantenido bastante ocupada, estoy viendo dos materias bastante complejas que requieren mucha dedicación y tiempo de lectura.
Hello dear friends in the Fine Arts community, I haven't written here in a while, but thank God everything has been going well. University has kept me quite busy. I'm taking two fairly complex courses that require a lot of dedication and reading time.
Hoy les cuento como ha sido este proceso y por qué me encuentro un poco ausente en Hive. Sucede que inscribí dos materias disciplinarias Semiología y Lenguaje Cinematográfico, por esta razón he estado bastante concentrada en el estudio, ya que demandan mucho tiempo y atención.
Today I'll tell you about this process and why I've been a little absent from Hive. I enrolled in two subjects, Semiology and Cinematic Language, which is why I've been quite focused on my studies, as they demand a lot of time and attention.
Me he dado cuenta que la semiótica o semiología es una unidad curricular esencial para poder abordar la realización Cinematográfica con fundamento. En esta materia básicamente estamos constantemente desentrañando los elementos y condiciones necesarias para que los procesos de significación se den, evidentemente no es tan simple como se escribe, pero es una forma bastante digerible de compartirlo con todos. La verdad que me ha tenido fascinada el estudio de los distintos sistemas de signos y como es que, inevitablemente somos generadores de sentimientos y parte de una semiosis infinita de la que es imposible salirse como individuos que confirmamos la realidad y la sociedad. En el cine y cómo creadores de sentido, creo que es vital adentrarnos e intentar comprender estos procesos de significación. Aunque bastante complejo el tema, me tiene atrapada e intentando atar cabos para comprender y sobretodo comprender al otro para comunicar de manera efectiva el mensaje.
I have realized that semiotics or semiology is an essential part of the curriculum for approaching filmmaking in a well-founded way. In this subject, we are basically constantly unraveling the elements and conditions necessary for the processes of signification to take place. Obviously, it is not as simple as it sounds, but it is a fairly digestible way of sharing it with everyone. The truth is that I have been fascinated by the study of different sign systems and how we are inevitably generators of feelings and part of an infinite semiosis from which it is impossible to escape as individuals who confirm reality and society. In cinema and as creators of meaning, I believe it is vital to delve into and try to understand these processes of meaning. Although the subject is quite complex, it has me hooked and trying to tie up loose ends in order to understand and, above all, to understand others in order to communicate the message effectively.
Por otro lado estoy con la materia de Lenguaje Cinematográfico, dónde también estoy bastante comprometida a entender, ya que me he dado cuenta, que habían muchos aspectos o conceptos fundamentales que yo ignoraba y que son esenciales en la creación cinematográfica. Comprender el cine como un lenguaje de verdad te ayuda a entenderlo desde la creación y no como un simple espectador, cuando comprendes se abre una puerta, y te permites explorar el cine como medio artístico, te apropias de el cómo vehículo para transmitir tus ideas más íntimas, lograr ésto requiere saber hablar en ese idioma, debes aprender, tal como un artista plástico, bailarín o músico se apropia de la técnica y lenguaje propio de la disciplina para expresarse.
On the other hand, I am studying Cinematic Language, which I am also quite committed to understanding, as I have realized that there were many fundamental aspects or concepts that I was unaware of and that are essential in filmmaking. Understanding cinema as a true language helps you to understand it from a creative perspective and not just as a simple spectator. When you understand, a door opens, and you allow yourself to explore cinema as an artistic medium. You appropriate it as a vehicle to convey your most intimate ideas. Achieving this requires knowing how to speak that language. You must learn, just as a visual artist, dancer, or musician appropriates the technique and language of their discipline to express themselves.
Algo maravilloso y positivo de este semestre es que me ha dado la oportunidad de permanecer más tiempo en Bellas Artes y compartir con compañeros de las diferentes materias, es bastante interesante ver qué piensa y adentrarse un poco en las creaciones de cada uno, te permite ver un panorama bastante claro de lo que será en algunos años el cine venezolano, creo que hay gente con mucho ánimo creativo y ganas de mejorar, hay propuestas interesantes, yo de verdad espero que podamos todos ir apartando un granito de arena en el contexto cinematográfico actual y que en un futuro ñ, así sea lejano, podamos consolidar una industria que nos permita a todos un espacio para la creación.
Something wonderful and positive about this semester is that it has given me the opportunity to spend more time at Bellas Artes and share with classmates from different subjects. It is quite interesting to see what they think and delve a little into each other's creations. It allows you to see a fairly clear picture of what Venezuelan cinema will be like in a few years. I think there are people with a lot of creative spirit and a desire to improve, there are interesting proposals, I really hope that we can all do our bit in the current film industry and that in the future, even if it is a long way off, we can consolidate an industry that allows us all a space for creation.
Este post aunque no tan largo, ha Sido un resumen bastante completo de lo que he estado viviendo en la universidad y en Bellas Artes, el proceso de estudio es algo que disfruto muchísimo y me llena bastante, espero poder escribir y hacer post con más constancia ara seguir compartiendo con ustedes mi proceso por este maravilloso espacio que es la Comunicación de Bellas Artes. Although not very long, this post has been a fairly comprehensive summary of what I have been experiencing at university and in Fine Arts. I really enjoy the study process and find it very fulfilling.
